Traveling somewhere wonderful? :P Sure been quiet with out her.....

I was thinking the same thing! That's the thing about online friends. They could disappear from the face of the earth and how would you ever know what happened to them. I was thinking of Limbania earlier today. Actually, I was worrying a little bit because she was a constance presence and now she hasn't been posting. Limbania I hope all is well.

Oooooh... maybe a wee bit farfetched, Rita  , but Wendy really knows how to push buttons, doesn't she? But, she'll get her turn...

Yes and pretty soon Marilyn will be laughing all the way to the post office and we will be the ones with sweaty hands and sleepless nights! Okay, that's a little melodramatic.

Marilyn is your heart pounding? Can you sleep at night? Take some comfort in the fact that we all have to go through it yet :D

Lois...We will have to see if we can make a plan one of these days! :D Late spring, early fall is prime time weather wise.
There IS a shop in a small town near Twin Falls. "The Gathering Place" is in Rupert. I've never been but have it on
good authority that it is best in all the state !..Well...they advertise 8000 bolts that is big for these parts ! Maybe you've
been there...if you went to Twin to shop ! Well..I wouldn't miss it if I was that close. I think they were in Quilt Sampler a
while back.

Nine hours drive between Montreal and Harrisburg. Probably two days drive, but lots of interesting stuff along the one main highway. Lois, you could do it! ( On the other hand, I could do it too!) We didn't met in Houston, maybe we can meet somewhere else?

However, I already have a trip to Stratford in Ontario for the Stratford Theatre Festival in the summer. If anyone loves live theatre, this is the place to go!

Oh ! I'm so excited !!! :D :D :D I know Lorna will e-mail me when she posts THE quilt so I will be watching
the mail with great anticipation ! My HSTs arrived in good time...about a week...from Lorna. Fingers Crossed !!
I tried to figure out postage to Maureen and it was more than first class to Lorna combined with on to Maureen.
The cost is not an issue tho'... getting to play is so worth it !! Will work with what ever you can work out. I think
we are well away from the Christmas mail in any case. Did I say I was excited? !!

My birthday is on Hogmanay (31st December to people that don't know what that is) When we moved here my husband used to say that the whole of Scotland (as New Year Eve is a really big holiday here) was celebrating my birthday and of course it was a good excuse for him to have a few extra drams

Rita, I am sure you will get a really big surprise when you get the quilt in the future but then again you don't know what the ones before were like. It will be so exciting to see what transpires along the way :D :D

So close and yet so far Lois.

Maureen, when is the big O birthday? Glad you had a senior moment about the quilt - I want the element of surprise when the quilt arrives to me. :D

Just for future reference. The trip from Elko, NV to Council, ID is 360 miles and would take 6 1/2 hrs. The route does go right through Boise so I was wrong about no big towns along the way. That trip is out this time. We have made day trips to Twin Falls, ID to go shopping. I think that took 3 hrs oneway.

Just back from the post office (in the pouring gale) to post THE quilt to Lorna who will then send it to Marilyn. What a relief, :D :D now I can finish off these ufo's that were put on hold.

You could show us at the end of the chain your quilt. After all it is not going to show any resemblance by the time it gets here :D
Naughty, naughty. (wags finger)

So what was the main colours you used, Maureen? (standing on one leg, whistling tune-lessly  )

The main colours I used was emm, emm, gosh this is what happens when you are nearing a big 0 birthday, you get senior moments and can't remember things
