Shipping Note to my fellow quilters.

We are going to be planning the sort soon after the due date. If you are one of our international quilters especially in Australia and New Zealand try and get your packages into the mail system by the middle of March. Australia seems to be taking anywhere from 2-3 weeks and Europe about 1-2 weeks. We are still looking at a good month away for most of us to get done what we need to do.

Thanks. Clara :D :D :D

Received my papers; am now starting to stitch when not at work; this is going to be fun; does not take anytime doing it like this.
Hope to have a lot in mail by end of month. really love this idea of an exchange.

This is my second attempt at posting this. The first time I clicked save and then couldn't find it again. UGH!

Anyway...
I had an interesting day of sewing HSTs today. If you are interesting in reading what I learned you can read my TQS blog post for today. Thanks.

I just mailed my 420 in. Hope I did everything right. She told me that you still have to take them to the post office because the weight is more that you can mail from your home. I figured you know that, but she kept emphasizing that fact. I'm excited!!! :D

The post office here also emphasized that since 9/11, any package weighing more than 13 oz. must be personally taken to the post office for shipment due to security reasons. OK, Clara and Debbie, have you rented the dump truck yet :?: :?: :D

I just added extra postage on my return envelope with the hope that it would cover any differences.

Ok, here are some more interesting numbers for you.

Average amount of triangles now per/person is 359.

If we took that average and multiplied it by 615.... wanna take a guess so far.... 220,785 HSTs!

Woof. That's a lot of happy quilters out there! Clara :D :D :D

**A plastic bag containing all your HSTs, clearly labeled with your TQS screen name and the total number of HSTs you are exchanging.
Please keep your total an increment of 28! Squeeze the air out of the plastic bag, but DO NOT ZIP IT CLOSED!
It will save time for the sorters if they don't have to unzip 615 bags!!

Margo this is great visual. THANKS!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

All I want to add is if the international quilters want to zip their ziplox I'm fine with that. Especially since they have so far to go and you just never know how many hands touch their envelopes. Clara

Oops... I have sent mine already and zipped all those bags. Sorry I just didn't think about the time it would take to un-zip them.

Zip or unzip. Either way I'm ok with. No worries. Clara :D :D :D

FluffBall...No problem about zipping or not zipping. And your package has already arrived in great shape!

Toni,

Sorry to hear about your car being puny! Just get your package in the mail when you can and let me know when you've sent it. That way we'll know to wait for it even if it is after April 1. :D :D

So far, I've received several notifications of packages mailed from Australia, but haven't received them yet.

Debbie
