It's obvious that not everyone is going through all the posts so I want to repeat that there are now some tips about using the forum available here:

Hope that helps! :D

Welcome to all the newbies!

I am blown away!! I am a charter member of TQS but this is the first time that I have followed a topic in the Forum, and what a topic it is!! Thanks you Edyta for getting us started and thank you Debbie, Clara and Margo for all the work you are doing for this SISTERHOOD. I never had a sister, but I don’t think it could have compared to the “sisters” I am now getting to know. If anyone is new to this topic and feeling a little confused about how it works (like I was a couple of days ago), reading page 1 and the posts from Debbie, Clara and Margo will bring you right up to speed. Wish I lived closer to Katy, TX to help with the big Sort & Ship event. If you have a chance, take pictures to share with us all. Give me a date and address for the S & S and I’ll send you treats to keep you going, some version of chocolate of course! Happy sewing everyone. Barb

Barb,

Thanks so much for your uplifting and positive post...on behalf of Clara, Margo and me, we appreciate it very much. And thanks for reminding everyone about the Guidelines on Page 1...those guidelines have been written, rewritten, modified and updated numerous times to make sure we've included all you need to know to finish your triangles and get them in the mail.

I'm also a charter member of TQS and didn't follow the Forum too much until we started discussing the exchange.

Chocolate is always welcome!!!

I posted earllier to count me in, but I neglected to tell you where I am from.
I am from Garden Valley, Idaho--a small mountian community about 50 miles north of Boise.

I am not sure how many triangles I will be able to send, but they will be in multiples of 28 as requested. I will try to send as many as I can get in a flat rate envelope. I will mail what I have before April 1. Thanks so much--this sounds like fun.

Can I use a pattern from the internet for a 2"finished size HST?

You did it fine, Jean! You can use foundations printed from the Internet, but be sure to test your printed papers to see that the squares measure 2-7/8" x 2-7/8" so that the HSTs will finish at 2". Please check your stitch length to make sure your papers are easily removed. Edyta's papers are about the weight of newspaper and tear off really easily.

I would love to participate in the triangle exchange. My screen name is susmcc. I am from Vine Grove, KY and my name is Susan. As soon as I can get my hands on some triangle paper I will begin making triangles. Is it really ok to use any 2" triangle paper? I believe I have some Triangles on a Roll I could use. I would like to exchange about 300, but as stated in the guide lines I believe I would need to make 348 to be equivalent to the Laundry Basket paper amount. Please let me know if this is correct.

What fun!
susmcc

Susan,

It's fine to use Triangles on a Roll as long as they are 2" finished (2" after sewn in the project).

Don't forget to leave them folded with the paper still attached. And remember to write your state and country on the papers so people will know where they came from!

Welcome...

Debbie
