Oh Ritzy! Many congratulations, and many prayers going your family's way! I know Eli was a miracle, so pray that the babies are doubly blessed!

Annis, your runners are wonderful! You've been busy! As usual!

Geneva, looks like you've been busy, too. I do like that nap blanket with the taggies! What a great idea! I'll have to make a couple of those!

Wow, snow in Texas! I can remember snow flying off of cars when I lived in Colorado Springs. It was always scary, knowing the dangers of it. We DON'T have a law here in Montana, so I see people with a foot of snow on the tops of their cars all the time. I hang way back when following one!

My New Year's resolution was to free motion quilt for about a half an hour every day, so I don't get so rusty in between projects. So far, I've probably spent more time pinning pins of free motion quilting on Pinterest, than I have actually FMQ!

I always scan the audience for familar faces. This heads up will help. Wish I had been there. I keep thinking maybe sometime. It's a long trip and I'd need to plan far in advance.

I will be keeping my beady eye out for both you Sharon and Nancy. Lucky you two to live close enough to go to the tapings - or has it moved too far away from you now? Hey, did anybody notice the older show with Susan Cleveland where Susan Cleveland is in the audience as well?

Changing the subject here, be sure to look for nancy and I in the audience for the show tomorrow. It was a great show. My ticket was drawn to get to go up close to her quilts and got a lot of great pictures. You will enjoy the show.

Thank you ladies for those prayers. And yes Cathy--it is the hardest thing I ever had to do, watching my child hurt so and not being able to do anything but hold her and cry and pray. All prayers for grandma's appreciated.

We ended up taking my DH's pickup as it was already clear of snow/ice and safer for driving. I do remember in the past having the snow slide down on my windshield but had no idea of the ice flying through the air. I will definitely remember it in the future. Thankfully we don't have that problem very often and I usually don't venture out until everything has melted.

Yes, taggies are pieces of ribbon that I sewed into the seam and stick out for snuggling, feeling and tasting. It was quite by luck that I have a huge shopping bag of various ribbons. My favorite fabric store in CA is Beverly's. One day my daughter and I were there and they had this sale, where you fill a shopping bag full of left over stuff and it was $2.00! Kate and I did a pretty good job of stuffing that bag full. It has come in handy for gift wrap, sewn into quilts and now the taggies.

Wendy, I will take a picture of the 2 quilts. I will be layering the "real" one today.

And Rosemary, I figured out when I was in my mid 40s that the day I die, there will be laundry, dishes and housekeeping to do. It put things in perspective for me. I only wish I had figured that out when I was in my 20s!

Happy March!

Ritzy, congratulations on the grandbabies!! I will be praying for the whole family. It is so heart wrenching to watch your child loose their child. It is not something you can put a bandaid on and kiss better is it? Prayers for you too. Us grandmas need prayers too. Hugs!

Drivers in the south are unlikely to have had that experience. Most of the time the snow is likely to blow off and land safely on the road but it can be devastating if it lands on someones windshield.

Thanks for educating me re taggies.

It is illegal in Virginia to drive with snow or ice on top of your vehicle because of the danger to other drivers on the road. It flies off and sometimes covers other drivers windshields, blinding them as they are driving.
I have had this happen to me. The road had been cleared, so everyone was driving the speed limit. Snow from the car in front of me flew off it and landed on my windshield, blinding me as I was driving down the highway. It was terrifying. I was driving a moving car with my 3 children, and couldn't see anything but white.

Ritzy, wonderful news, praying that all goes well.

Lois, I noticed with babies that whatever toy you gave them they always worked their way around it until they found the label and then usually put the label in their mouths for a good gumming, that seem tot be the best bit of any toy. I guess this is just a way of giving a small quilt lots of sticky out 'labels' for them to gum.

Geneva - super speedy quilter :woohoo: , I'm guessing that cooking and tidying up weren't allowed to get in the way of your mission :P
