Terrie! Great idea about a get together retreat! Of course we do need to wait until Annis says "ready" and hopefully she's ready in a bright, warm, sunny month... Although I grew up in Colorado and am frequently back with family, I was there last week and I was reminded of how hard it is to get around without the threat of slip sliding away. However, If you allow 9 hours to get to the airport, you can sometimes get out on an earlier flight! LOL!

Lois: GREAT bag! I don't think I'd even try to make one, but will put it on my ever-increasing wish list.
Charae - nice to see you. Continuing prayer for you and DH.

Annis. You must have energizer bunny batteries, I can't believe all you do, and still produce so much. Prayers and blessing upon you. Wouldn't it be fun to all get together at Annis' retreat place and have a party! (Of course, when things settle down for you, Annis>)

Nancy - my FMQ is honestly not good - I hope to finish it today.

Going to see a movie tonight called ' Dropbox" - has anyone heard of it?

Finally, enough snow for some real snowmen. Not at my house though as my winter clothes are still packed at my country home and I'm at my city home. They will have to work fast because it won't take long to melt with the sunshiny day. Normally this would be a quilting day for me, but since I'm doing my work, my DD's work, my DSIL's work who is still recovering from a knee replacement, and living in 2 homes while trying to get a retreat center going there's not enough time. No wonder I feel like I'm going around in circles and not getting anywhere. And the doctor thought my DD was the one that needed anxiety medicine! Thankfully there are some doctors that look for the cause rather than just treat the symptoms. Now to quit procrastinating and get to work.

Wow Lois, love the bag. I plan to make one soon. You fabrics are beautiful.

Terrie, congratulations. I am hoping to overcome my fear this year and tackle free motion.

Lois, your bionic bag and needle minder are awesome. I may have to break my resolution and get those patterns.

Annis, prayers for your DD.

Lois, that bag looks wonderful. I would like to make one of those someday. It's been a long time since I sewed in a zipper and made anything that wasn't flat except for a pillow.

The sleet/freezing rain has started again. I'm prepared this time with a full refrigerator of groceries. My car is still out in it because there is a dishwasher and microwave stacked in the middle of my space in the garage and no one to help me move it. But the sun will be out tomorrow so it should melt quickly and it looks like next week will bring spring like weather just in time for spring break.

Right now I have another batch of chicken soup cooking for my DD. Tomorrow I'm going to try making some beef broth. She needs to get more protein/fat in her diet. We're expecting big improvements over the next few weeks.

No time for quilting right now. Still a lot of bookkeeping to do. But am enjoying seeing what everyone else is getting finished. Hope to get back to it soon after my CPA appointment next week.

Love, love, love the bionic bag, Lois! So functional and so pretty, the fabrics look great!

Geneva, I totally agree with you on the yellows in the first version of the quilt--the second one looks so cohesive and beautiful. I would not change a thing about the combination of fabrics you used there. Congratulations on being at the end of the road on weddings, now it is your time to relax and enjoy when this last one's done! But, it sounds like, with your move to such a beautiful location, everything's more relaxing! :)

Well, it's not a great job, but I have about 1/2 finished my first full FMQing quilt today. It looks awful in all honesty, but it's full of love and I'm so happy I burst out of my fear! It's a new day! I'm telling you all here, so i will not lose heart and I WILL finish it, boo-boos and all!

Lois, looks like you did a really great job on the Bionic Bag! I haven't been on the forum, having decided I'd rather be spending the time in the sewing room, but I was getting e-mail reports of comments and had to log on to see this amazing bag. It's super!
