Geneva you're such a lovely mum and grandma, careful you'll get lots of orders. Lois taggles are ribbons for fiddling with and sucking.

You've not shown us your art quilts or do we have to wait for the quilting :)

Great news, Ritzy! I am so happy for you. I totally agree with the babies and the mother needing prayer asap. I feel that these precious little lives should get as much support and prayers as early as possible. Congratulations! Prayers going. Hugs, too!

Very cute quilt, Geneva. What are taggies? Does this question mean I've failed as a Grammy. Oh dear!

That's scary, Sharon. I think it's mostly melted now and we will probably go somewhere close so will be driving slow.

Ritzy, awesome news!

Annis, they showed here in Colorado a woman's shattered windshield from ice that flew off a pickup in front of her, narrowly missing her. It was amazing to see. Just an FYI.

Oh Ritzy I'm so happy for your daughter and her family. I smiled so big when I read your post. I will keep them in my prayers.

Annis, I hope you and everyone else who is suffering with this snow get a break soon. It is beautiful here in Eastern WA. Sunny and Rattlesnake Mountain is gorgeous. We will be going to New Jersey in 2 weeks for our daughter's wedding. I sure hope the weather gets better!

I've been working on the commission quilt. I made one already, realized it was too big and started over! Good grief! Both of them came out very nice, but I like the second one best. Now to quilt it. I had planned to start that today but my niece asked if I could make a snuggle quilt with taggies on it for her son. He will start going to day care and needs the taggies on quilt. I think if I said "no" I'd lose my quilting cred! Plus the older I get, the more mushy my heart gets. So I started this morning around 9am and finished at 2:30. It is 30" x 40". I used all stash including the backing. It's certainly not one of my art quilts, but it will keep the little guy warm and hopefully happy. I used all the shortcuts and didn't quilt it as much as I usually do. I even used some fabrics from his cousins quilts. I had it in the mail by 3pm and he will have it Monday.

I'm tired, but I feel good. You all know the feeling of being able to make a quilt and know it will bring comfort to someone.

Take care,

So the mailman just came to the door with some packages. I went to a lot of work thawing out my car to put the mail in the box! At least it's ready for going out tonight except for the ice on top that will probably blow off as we go down the road.

Ritzy, how exciting for everyone. Praying that everything will go smoothly and at least one will be a girl. One of my DGS's needed so much attention after his younger sister was born, we had to go to another room to hold her and lock him out! There was a 5 year age difference which is probably why. They get along fine now. My mother didn't know she was having twins until just before delivery which was a month early and she surprised her DSIL when they ended up sharing a hospital room.

Kathy, I like to iron all of my washed fabrics and trim the loose threads before putting them away. I find it relaxing if there aren't too many pieces, nothing like ironing clothes which I definitely don't enjoy doing. Then when I get ready to use them I just have to press the folds.

I'm patiently waiting for the snow/ice to melt. I finally got the car defrosted so I could drive to the mailbox to put some mail in that needed mailed today. It was too far to walk on a slippery driveway. I hope the mailman delivers. There was none yesterday and no paper this morning. And my DH is at our country home so we are quite a ways apart for celebrating our 43rd Wedding Anniversary. He's not afraid to drive in bad weather so will be back in town sometime later today. The roads should be clear by then. Definitely looking forward to spring.

That's great news. Hope Beccah is feeling better soon. We are all praying and eager for every bit of news you are willing to share. I wish you lived closer to them. Grammy's shouldn't have to live so far away from their kids. I hate being far away when my kids could use my help and I know you do too.
