Fiber artist Paula Entin creates original art quilts inspired by her life. This beautiful quilt, Floral Explosion, (48" x 56") delighted us with its colors and unique use of embellishments in the flowers and creeping vine.

Paula used fused appliqué, hand appliqué, machine appliqué, beading, embellishments, free-motion quilting, and machine piecing.

Alethea Ballard, the Maverick Quilter, has a unique approach to her quilting. She combines collage, broiderie perse, imagination, and of course appliqué that is....well, exuberant. (Alex took the pictures and forgot to take a picture of the signs.) So enjoy the quilts and art and visit Alethea's website to learn more. These quilts were on display at Bay Quilts, in El Cerrito, CA.

Alex noticed when she was talking to Barbara Black about the TQS BOM that there was a BERNINA Q 20 in the background. Because Barbara is a quilter and a teacher, Alex wanted to know why she bought it.

Well, it's not a newspaper (old joke...). It is, however, Lady in Red by Shari McDonnell-Guimont and Marlene Hiltner. This large (104" x 104") quilt has more half-square triangles than we want to count.

Lady in Red is based on the Lady of 10,000 Lakes pattern by Claudia Clark Myers...do you think there are 10,000 half-square triangles? It was exhibited at AQS QuiltWeek Paducah Spring 2019.

Congratulations to TQS members mdghall and Beech1! They are the lucky winners of an Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K. Once they have their new devices installed we hope to hear back from them as they share the experience of watching The Quilt Show on their bigscreen TVs.

Thank you to all who entered.

The Quilt Show is a true TV show that Alex and Ricky decided to bring straight to the Internet. (The Quilt Show was one of the very first true TV shows made exclusively for the Internet and not just a show that was rebroadcast on the Internet.)

We recently found that the Amazon Fire Stick made watching the show (or browsing our site) very easy on your big TV. (If your Smart TV already has browsing ability, you don't need this. But if you can't browse the Internet, we found the Fire Stick a great way to sit back and watch on the big screen.)

This video will show you how it works and how to set up our site on the Fire Stick in a way that coming back and watching again is simple and fast.

Look below the video to enter to win an Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K. After you enter your name and e-mail, make sure to scroll down and hit the "Submit" button in the box. One entry per household.

Enter to Win one of 2 Fire Sticks to add to your TV.

(And then tell us how it works for you!)

We want 2 lucky winners to try this out for themselves and let us know how it works. So we will give them a Fire Stick to try.

Last day to enter is June 23, 2019.
