Nebraska to Alaska
Name of Maker: Candace Door
Nebraska to Alaska - This is a small wall quilt I made for my daughter based on one of her favorite photos that she took on her move to AK in 2008. She drove her truck from NE to Washington and then took the ferry to Haines and then drove the last 750 miles to Anchorage. The quilt is fused with thread painting. I gave dimension to the hiking boots by making actual laces.
Carol's Christmas Quilt
Name of Maker: Angela Kollet
Carol's Christmas Quilt - My mom called to tell me about this technique she learned at a quilt guild meeting. I was so supprise at how easy it was, and that I understood how to do it with verbal directions only. You rock Mom! So I made a quilt for Carol for Christmas and she loved it.

Seasons of the Sun - Four panels depicting the four cycles of the sun.
But Who's Counting?
Name of Maker: momratz
But Who's Counting? - I saw this quilt in the Henry Ford Museum quilt book. It was done in mid 1800s by Susan McCord who loved small triangles. I started this quilt 2008 and finally put the finishing stitches in it on New Years Eve 2010 - so it really was a 3 year project. There are over 10,000 pieces in this quilt and over 700 yds of quilting thread. But who's counting?

Quilt for Cachet
Name of Maker: Chicagoquilts
Quilt for Cachet - Found this fabric while shopping at Hobby Lobby after a vacation with my daughter. A year later I decided to make her a quilt. Topstitch the fabric pattern to create the quilting. We both love Asian design and flair. So I used the colors in the quilt to decide the borders and sashing.
