Trick or Treat
Name of Maker: Sandi
Trick or Treat - I like Halloween and could not resist the kit.
Sailing the Deep Blue Sea
Name of Maker: Donna Bays
Sailing the Deep Blue Sea - This quilt has sailboats and a lighthouse above the water, and a turtle and several fish below the water. It was made for my sister's first grandson.
Natalie's Dream
Name of Maker: Donna Bays
Natalie's Dream - I collected Egyptian-themed fabrics for a quilt for my niece, Natalie, who is an archaeologist. The "Strips 'n Curves" technique seemed the best way to put them together, and the abstract quality is like images in a dream. Perhaps she will get to work in Egypt some day.
Yellow Lilies for Leman
Name of Maker: Donna Bays
Yellow Lilies for Leman - My dear friend's 90-year-old mother loves yellow so I made this lap quilt for her.
My Promise
Name of Maker: ekatarinis
My Promise - This is my first quilt. I wanted to make one for my son the way my mother had made one for me. So I took the basics that I knew and went for it. I made several mistakes, but I loved every minute of it. I have since then completed 2 other quilt tops and have drafted plans for 3 others! I named this "My Promise." Rainbows symbolize promises, and I wanted a physical manifestation of my promise to him that I will always love him.
Orange ya glad?
Name of Maker: Caron Carlson
Orange ya glad? - This darling quilt is pieced by hand and is one of the workshops I offer. I love having a grab-n-go project for car trips or TV time. The crosshatching is done on the longarm and for this quilts small size was very time consuming. This quilt is also a "Charm" quilt in the true sense, as none of the print fabrics are alike.
Fall Memories
Name of Maker: Kimberly Smith
Fall Memories - I started this quilt in 2007, loved it and didn't want to mess it up during the quilting. Finally decided to just do it. Finished in 2008. Love the fall colors, used mostly batiks, threw in a few crystals just to add a little sparkle.
My Paducah Nine-Patch
Name of Maker: nancycarol
My Paducah Nine-Patch - This quilt is the outcome of the AAQG nickel square swap and the workshop taught by Pat Speth in 2006. I added narrow sashing with light cornerstones to Pat's original design. The quilting was done on my domestic machine in ''Divide and Conquer'' style sections which were then joined.
Bobby's Log Cabin
Name of Maker: nancycarol
Bobby's Log Cabin - I made this quilt in 2006 for my husband Bob. I used EQ5 to design the quilt, including an original border block. I took Mary Mashuta's class on machine quilting with a walking foot and decided that I wanted to use the walking foot for this quilt. I also used a variation of a technique described in the book "Divide and Conquer". The quilt was broken down into 18 sections, all of which were small enough to quilt with a walking foot. Great fun! I'm looking forward to trying variations on these two techniques on other quilts.
Granny Nan's Hugs and Kisses
Name of Maker: nancycarol

Granny Nan's Hugs and Kisses - I pieced this top with a method similar to English paper piecing and thoroughly enjoyed the process. However, I learned a hard lesson: WHAT NOT TO DO WITH A BALLPOINT PEN. When I finished the quilt and washed it, the ink ran onto the white background. After I cried a little, my next thought was to hide the quilt. But then I decided that the quilt should not be punished because of my mistake, so here it is. I love it in spite of its flaws -- like a wayward child! I hope someone else learns from my sad experience.

Music's In the Air
Name of Maker: Jennifer Padden
Music's In the Air - Inspired by Jodie Barrows Summer Breeze pattern, I used all music novelty prints for my high school band director daughter. Keeping with the theme of the original title, I call this Music's in the Air.
Almost Reproduction of Antique Yo-Yo Coverlet
Name of Maker: nancycarol
Almost Reproduction of Antique Yo-Yo Coverlet - I found a picture of an antique yo-yo coverlet in "Quilts the Fabric of Friendship" published in 2000 by the York County Heritage Trust. I used EQ6 to design it and recreated it using modern-day fabrics. All of my yo-yo's were made the old-fashioned way.
Day of the Iguana
Name of Maker: Jennifer Padden
Day of the Iguana - Fabrics chosen to match my brother's pet Iguana, named Cinnamon. Foundation pieced, and trapunto lizard on a naturalistic background.
Jeffrey's Quilt
Name of Maker: Jean Sheeler
Jeffrey's Quilt - Flannel quilt made for my modern brother. A huge step outside my box. Hated the flannel but ended up loving the quilt.
Double Wedding Ring
Name of Maker: cblong03
Double Wedding Ring - I started this quilt in 2006, before I knew I wasn't supposed to be able to make such a difficult pattern. I've worked on it on and off over the last 2 1/2 years and finally finished it this month! I used Sharlene Jorgenson's templates and instructions. I hand pieced the connecting corners, but the rest is done by machine. In the spirit of this quilt, I figured I'd go ahead and stretch my beginner free motion quilting skills and do feathers in each of the rings (marked, of course!). As soon as I get a label on it, it's going to live in New Hampshire with my friend from 1st grade. I love the 30's reproduction fabrics, but it isn't my decorating style.

Desert Rose
Name of Maker: wilma Diana Serrao
Desert Rose - Used fat quarters and it was the first time I made a dresden plate and enjoyed it.
Life Enthusiast
Name of Maker: Mary Kay Runyan
Life Enthusiast - My beloved Gunther passed away in April '08. We were devastated, as we had lost another German Shepherd, Bubba, within the previous 12 months. Both Bubba and Gunther had been members of our family for 10 years. This quilt commemorates Gunther and the Life Enthusiast that he was. He never knew what each new day would bring, but he met each day with boundless enthusiasm. I miss you, Gunsey Pup! XO, Mom
