No weight loss for me AGAIN!!!! I went to Curves 2x this past week and walked over 10,000 steps on 4 days with 5000 on the remaining three! Been drinking water instead of diet sodas. So the only thing left has to be my eating!!! So this week I am going to write down everything going into my mouth and MEASURE every thing!!!!! I need to find out what is wrong with my plan.

I haven't lost any more, but at least I haven't gained. I was out of town last weekend visiting my sister and went to a baby shower for my great niece. Needless to say, I wasn't very good and just haven't gotten back in the swing. Today I had snow ice cream, but the snow is melting so I won't be tempted for that again until the next snow which probably won't happen for several years.

Down 2# this morning. I'm up to a mile on the elliptical and I swam 14 laps on Wednesday. It is making a huge difference in ordinary everyday ways. I can make it from the basement laundry room to the second floor without getting winded. I'm sick of the snow and cold. On days I'm working and can't get to the fitness center I've been walking on the treadmill. As Margo said---BORING. I see the personal trainer on Monday for a fitness evaluation but due to conflicting scedules, I won't get my session to set up an individualized work out program til the end of Feb. Bummer.

Thanx Margo. I'll give that a try. I'm using the bike cuz it seems "low-impact". Guess it mostly depends on me!

Sherry, try warming up your knee before you ride the bike. A heating pad for about 10 minutes will probably be plenty. Then after you ride, wrap an ice pack around it for 20 minutes. That should help a lot with the pain!
I do this for my shins when I increase my walking time, and it really works!

After riding my stationary bike for 45 minutes last Saturday I was so proud of myself...till the next day when my knee was so sore I could barely walk! Kept it wrapped for a couple of days. Gonna give the bike a break for a few days and then not push myself.

Lynn, there are a lot of ways to increase your activity level that don't involve going to the gym.
For myself, I seem to do more and better working out at the gym.
I don't know if I will keep up the pace when my son goes back to work(He is my gym partner) but I hope that I have started to see more of benefit in the mirror before that happens.

I'm still in Georgia and don't have a scale so don't know weight. Clothes are not looser so suppose that is enough to tell the story of weight.

But, I have been doing a 'radical' job of monitoring my glucose for the last 3 weeks, since receiving news that my diabetes was a mess! And I have it under control, and am committed to keeping it there. Glucose strips are not cheap, but neither is a stroke!

I'll be heading home to Houston in about 4 weeks, where the scale and my gym will once again wave at me when I pass them!

I'm still on board...with the healthy part - just not weight loss. I'm with you MK on the veggies and hummus! Baby carrots and hummus dip - a winner!

I am down 12 from the beginning of the year (lost ~2 this past week). Got one workout in this week, so I am improving. Lots going on, so I am too distracted to worry much about eating..... so that helps. Still sticking to lots of raw veggies, hummus, nuts, fruit and small portions of meat.

I am traveling this coming week, so I will carry my snacks with me and hopefully I can stay on track.

Have a good week, All!

There's something that I keep reminding myself when I'm tempted.

It's: NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS BEING THIN FEELS!

Keep up the good work everyone! It helps to encourage eachother, don't you think?
