I'm still hanging in here, and lost another 1.6 pounds last week! I have now officially lost 10 pounds since the beginning of the year, plus another 5 that I lost at the end of last year!!! I'm hoping for another 5, then will go into maintanence mode!

Just remember that there is only one thing that really works for weight loss. You have got to use up more calories each day than you take in. It's that simple. You've either got to cut out some calories or increase the activity, but you've got to make sure that you burn more than you take in.

It also helps to remember that you should eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and supper like a pauper. Your body will appreciate it!

I hope everyone has found what works for them, and can keep it up.

I'm still here..plodding along. Can't get to my scale at the moment. Changed the wallpaper in my sewing room and all the crap is piled in the bathroom!!!! :D I know..sounds like a good excuse! Will weigh- in as soon as I find it!!!

I am down 1 pound. I am keeping up with the fitness center at least 3 times a week. I got a breakdown of my fitlinxx progress and in February I lifted the equivalence of 2.5 elephants. I can't stop laughing. I've resolved to do better with the eating cause I sure don't want to waste those elephants. That being said, we are going out for chinese buffet tonight. This will take some willpower. Gloria

For February I've felt like I'd leveled off in the fitness. Just didn't feel like I was making any progress. I'd had to cancel two times because of bad roads. I'd not been very strict with my food choices.

When I went in on Tuesday I was telling this to the girl who works with me. She asked a couple questions then said that she would put a note in my folder. Since it was the first of the month, I had to get weighed and measured. Much to my surprise I had lost 3 lbs and .5 inches in the waist. Wonderful! I knew the old jeans were fitting better.

Well, she put a note in my folder and today I got an email from the director. He gave me praise and encouragement and then made some suggestions on salad dressing and snacks and reminded me that I am to leave white potatoes alone and if I can't do that, then only eat them for breakfast or lunch. All good reminders that I needed to hear again.

I'm encouraged.

I have lost another pound! That makes a total of 7 so far this year. I am praying that I can keep it up and hopefully lose much more. Clothes are fitting a little looser and that is without buying bigger clothes!!!!
I haven't had that happen since I lost the weight after my last pregnancy - 22 years ago!

Actually, Margo, the ice cream was spectacular. What was awful was my inability to resist. I do think there is a learning process going on and not getting bummed when you stumble helps you learn from the experience. That ice cream will never cross my doorstep again. Poor Mom :)

If writing it down works for you, Gloria, I hope you will go back to it. Awful ice cream is NOT WORTH THE CALORIES!!

I stayed flat today and I know why. I was looking for ice cream for my mom and saw some lite caramel ice cream. Thought that might be good for her. I tried it and it was awful. I kept taking a dish every evening. Also stopped recording what I eat. I need to go back to that. I would think twice if I was writing down that dish.
