I finally got those four quilts done that I have been working on since May. Life kept getting in the way. Hope to deliver them today.

Well today, after a lot of research, I took the plunge and bought a Nolting Hobby Quilter for my frame. Daniel at Nolting was absolutely fantastic and helped us out loads with the electric conversion stuff etc and came out with lots of tips. The courier will be sent next week so hopefully will be here in the not too distant future. I can't wait!! Now just to make some tops to quilt....

I also found a lump this morning and have to have biopsy tests and things so I'm glad I have quite a few blocks cut ready for all those lovely waiting room visits!! :D

I continue to push ahead one stitch at a time. I have completed a baby quilt and I have finished hand quilting a quilt I have been working on for years. I am hoping to take pictures and post my accomplishments.

Quilt Show is this Friday Saturday.

I finished binding my card tricks... I am working on my demo material.

And I did some machine quilting on my grandson's play quilt. This quilt is not finished because he will not let me finish quilting it. He drags it everywhere with him. I have to wait til he is visiting his other grandma to work on it and then I have to wash it before I work on it cause he has gotten it so grungy! He is gone this weekend so I might get it finished.

I love little boys and their quilts.

Second quilt is drying as I type, and the label is ready and waiting.

As for next project, my SIL wanted me to add 12" Border of qulting to a store bought quilt. Any suggestoins on how to add a border to a ready made quilt???

It has white background with simple applique in jewel tones. there is currently a colored binding. The batting is thin, and the quilting "looks" like hand quilting. So how do I go about adding the border and make it look like it belongs?

I'm just beading and binding a large tree skirt for my daughters first Christmas gift away from home. Hopefully it will be the start of her Christmas 'trousseau'!

I have been putting of and delaying quilting the Storm at Sea quilt, just seen in my avatar, I finished ages ago and now I know why. I knew the quilting I wanted to do could not be done on the Grace Pro frame and I was going to have to do it on the Bernina old hat way. I watched John Flynn on a Fons & Porter show last night and he had done a SatS top quilted similar how I want to do mine. He set it up on his frame and stippled it all over with washable thread to baste it firmly and then used the walking foot on the machine as normal. When it's washed the stipple basting goes away leaving a perfectly smooth quilt. Fabulous idea! I'm off buy the washable thread this morning. I knew there was a reason I couldn't get on with it!! It's also a good lesson in using the frame because the stitching won't be there in the end!!

Well, one memory quilt is in the washer (gentle cycle) , and the other is waiting for me to finish the binding. Labels are also printed and should have them both blocked and ready to go home Thursday. :-) Cheryl

I have been sewing my BLOTTO BLOCKS for guild. One of the ladies designed her own paper pieced pattern. I like it cause it is a NO BRAINER.... I can just sew when I am too tired to think.

I have also been making blocks for several other quilts... multiple projects prevent me from being bored... but it also it also means I am not getting much finished yet. I will probably get several tops done all at the same time.
