In the last couple of days, I finished basting my two quilt tops. I had to get it done today because I was using the kitchen table and we're having company for dinner tonight.

I am currently working on Dear Jane -- just finishing the bottom row and the left row to go. Almost there. Then plan to make some Quilts of Valor for our quilt guild.
I am working on the border for my Cool Kaleidoscope quilt. I am making it with challenge fabric for a local quilt show. I had to wash the border fabric in Retayne and now it is ready to cut. While that was soaking and drying, I worked on my TQS BOM. Holy cow I am far behind! I am working on March and have 21 of the 36 pinwheels made. I'll keep plugging away at it.
In between the BOM I've been working on a summer wall hanging. Was totally inspired by Patsy's video so last night I did trapunto and thread painting on the flower applique. I'm so happy with the results. I will post when it's finished. I'm beginning to feel like a big girl in the quilting world
I now have my very own quilting space so i have been finishing up quite a few projects. Have just finished a Beatrix Potter panel baby quilt for a friend. Am working on catching up on the last 3 months of TQS BOM, and finishing a small wall hanging of quilters quotes that my brother bought for me, have an antique T block quilt to finish for my niece's 16th which was last month, an around the world and pie block quilt for my son and i wanted to get started on my 30's reproduction fabric Dresden Plate and many others besides. I am trying to sew everyday.

Today I got half of a quilt basted. Hope to get the rest of it done tomorrow. Right now, no one can eat at the table since it's got a quilt all over it.

Anna,
Yesterday I had quilt bee. I finished sewing one log on my Friday quilt, sewed on another one and started a third.
Frances in Austin were it was on double degrees for the last two days.
LIFE's interference for me is that my darling 16 month old grandson and his momma moved back home into the empty nest . In one swoop I lost my sewing areas ( The dining room table was my sewing room but we went back to having family meals at a real table instead of in front of the TV on fold out tables. ) My sewing machines are put away most of the time cause SHORTY loves to play with the button and dials. I also lost my computer room in that the baby sleeps in there. When he is up and running I am the doting NONNIE ... he keeps me busy and I would not have it any other way.
My goal at the beginning of the year was to finsh my UFOs. QUILTS I had started gotten halfway done then got seduced by other projects. I am still working on those. I have even finished a few of them.
I am posting my current list and what needs to be finished on them so that I can make a commitment to getting them finished:
TODAY's Current Project ... IRISH CHAIN ... TAKE 5 pattern. I love the blocks but the purchased pattern / directions itself was defective and I put it away in frustration. I am now working on it with the help of a friend. I want to finish it for my DD new bedroom.
UFO'S... (or as my GF calls them... Quilts in the DESIGN STAGE. )
Nee Nee's ... toddler size... CARD TRICK quilt just needs a binding.... I really need to finish that this weekend as he needs it.
MY STAIN GLASS in SUNSHINE 80 blocks made need to sash and put together.
GIBLETS AND GRAVY BLOCKS.. (AKA FACHITITA BLOCKS.)..... need to sash and put together... the blocks made by my DD when she was depressed but with classes beginning soon she does not have time to finish the quilts. She just likes making block after block in a random fashion.
FARM PANEL - toddler quilt I quilted myself.. need to finish the border quilting and bind the quilt.
I have SIX more projects from my B.O.M. clubs in progress but I will work on them next year when my B.O.M. are finished. Anyone else finishing their UFOs.
A while back I started a blog / topic thread to encourage people to talk about their day to day sewing/ quilting projects ...The idea being if you sew just one needle of thread per day you will make progress. After a while the blog -topic -thread disappeared, I think it got to cumbersome ( 42 pages is a big topic.)
I would like to revise the topic so that we can talk about the project we are working on and give each other encouragement.
Please post your comments here so all can enjoy.
SEW ONE NEEDLE/ THREAD WORTH a day. ThIS is to keep a person on task because LIFE LIKE TO INTERFER.
I have been so bogged down this spring by LIFE EVENTS ... good and bad I have been loosing my drive to work on ANY SEWING. I watch quiting DVDs and shows but got very little sewing done. ......( just the christening quilt) ... I now want to dedicate one needle a day to keep me going.
I am making this thread to mark my progress. I am hoping others will joing me and declair what sewing they have done for the day when not much sewing is possible. Maybe we can inspire each other to keep going.
