I have to finish about 6 other projects as well. I wonder when I will have time to pick fabric for Januarys block. IM WISHING FOR MORE TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

The March blocks look wonderful. I'm just starting the January block and will have to set it aside to work on some things for my local quilt guild. BUUMMMER!

I'm thinking that someone needs to put some kind of little critter in the space where that leaf would have been!! Ladybug? Grasshopper? Hmmmmmm....now I'm wondering if I should take mine back off!!

Florence, I'm going to be a "have not"!!! I never noticed any missing leaf since I didn't consider the block to be symmetrical. I actually like the block as it is. Maybe I'll do something fun with that "missing" leaf!!!

Nice work - I love seeing everyone's work. I'm not going to worry about that left out stem. They all look lovely without it. I also love the yellow roses. After those, I think I'm going to go with yellow too.

Marge I love the gray background fabric you're using. I also like that you used the same fabric on the Mar block for the stems rather than 2 because I was wondering how it would look and it looks great. Good job.

Love all the March blocks. I'm beginning to work on mine, but haven't gotten far yet. I think I'll just leave that leaf off and not worry about it since I have my foundation already done. Not too late, however, so I may put it on, who knows???

Personally, I use the clear for most of my projects. Some folks say that the smoke is a little more shiney, or reflects more light. I use the clear because that's what I have always bought, and think it works fine for everything. However, with that said, I realize that a lot of people are a whole lot more particular than I am.

Hello, I have a question for YOU!! This is my first time doing machine applique!! What is the general rule for clear/smoke thread? Is clear only for white fabrics and smoke for everything else? What do you think?

well dang it, I've not gotten very far on this block, but I HAVE got that stem on! but just holding my finger over the errant leaf, I'm thinking the whole thing will look rather balanced without it, there's some similar open space opposite.
So when we gather in LaVeta for show & tell, we can sort by the "haves" and "have nots"!!!
