Ritzy Your block is beautiful, some berries scattered here and there might do the trick to balance it in your eyes, but it is just lovely as it is . Dorothy Suffolk UK

Ritzy, your block in wonderful and I think nobody else than you see "your thing". In cases like this I take a photo and print it out on ordinary paper, so I can draw my solutions or glue something on or whatever. That's a good way to try things without ruining the block.

Eileen,

I'm using Ricky's Stable Stuff, and hand appliqueing. As long as I keep my glue off of the very edge where my needle will be going through, it is a piece of cake! In places where I wasn't as careful, it is still doable, but you have to push harder on the needle. Or just wet it a little. I did a tiny sample piece, washed it, and like Jo Jo said, the effect it gives is great!

I'm so glad you like it Margo. It was fun to do.

Linny, yes -- I used Lana wool thread to wrap around the baby rick rack. I loved the extra texture it gave to the piece.

Eileen, I used stable stuff and appliqued the block I made for Margo by hand. It was a little tougher simply because the applique was stiffer and didn't bend as well as I was working on it but not unduly so. After I washed the block it was perfect and I loved the effect of using it.

Jo Jo, this block is beautiful! I love the design and your choice of fabric. Is that wrapped rick rack for the stems? Excellent!

Eileen, Sharon Schamber uses her applique fouundation product for needleturn applique, and I think it's the same stuff as Ricky's Stable Stuff.

Mary, your block is SO delicate and pretty. It's really beautiful!!

Robin, I love your focus fabric-it has so much potential. You'll be able to really build on it for the RR quilt. Yum!!

JoJo and Annis can I still do the applique by hand if I use the Stable Stuff? It would make great templates, wouldn't it? Is it too thick?

I agree with everyone else but if you are still unhappy what about 3 groups of three berries in the top section that way you will have to put them off centre and will take away from the way you see it.

Ritzy, It's beautiful. If you hadn't told us I dont think any of us would have known that it isn't perfect. I hope that you will have the answer tomorrow.
