Re: Chinese Whispers 05 Feb 2013 12:01 #96894

Just thought I would post this bit about a workshop I was involved with last Saturday.

We had a terrific fun day on Saturday at the Studio having a Jelly Roll Race in aid of Breast Cancer. :D :D There were 14 students who brought a Jelly roll and 2 ½ “ squares with them. Everyone finished a top on the day :) :) and the winner did it in 2 hours 10 mns. :D :D

Go into the link to the Loch Lomond Quilt Show, scroll down on the left and click on Facebook. The video was taken in the car park of the Industrial estate where the Studio is. http://www.lochlomondquiltshow.com/home.html

What is everyone else getting up to except for Limbania, as we know what she is doing?

Glad you are through the procedure Limbania. Be kind to yourself for the next few days - leave the housework, relax and enjoy the children, get as much rest as you can in the circumstances and stay positive. Lots of love and hugs are coming to you from so many people here on the forum.

I'm glad the little ones are helping you out! Even when they aren't as helpful as they might have hoped, it's still uplifting to see their loving efforts. Take comfort in their presence! We are all also with you in spirit!

Letting the little ones know you are under the weather in language they can understand, and they can be very caring & loving, and trying to be helpful (although that bit isn't always as helpful as they hope it is  )

It's all the anxiety and loss of sleep taking its toll. Have a quiet weekend and try not to create stories in your mind. Roll on next week when you get the results. Hope you're not too sore xx

Thank you all! With your caring presence are helping me go thru this hard time.

After the procedure, had about an hour before picking up my kids from school. Would've take me about that time to go back home and back. I had some embroidery, take along project with me but, was felling pretty tired and sore so I reclined my seat, set the alarm on my cellphone and took a nap in the parking lot :)

When I picked up the kids, I explained that Mami had a booboo ( small painful bump or bruise) by my armpit and the Dr. Had to check it. I told them that they could have a junky, I mean happy meal from McDonald's and that Mami needed to rest and relax for the rest of the evening. They were very well behaved an caring the rest of the day :)

Will get the results from pathology next week. They were not very specific about which day. I'll keep you posted.

Thank you again. Love and blessings to you all.

Limbania, I am also with everyone wishing you well and receiving good news next week. Just like Rosemary said we have all time differences so there is always someone you can talk to, personally or on the forum, at any time of the day or night and can say anything you like to any of us and blow off steam and you will receive lots of support.
Hopefully the CW quilt is distracting you enough to take your mind of things for a short time. I am very impressed with your check list. Inspiration must have jumped out at you when you saw Marilyn's quilt, lucky you. I struggled for a while.
Love and prayers are being sent your way

Limbania, in my pre-retirement life (i.e. 2 mos ago!) I was a gynecologist, and took care of many women dealing with similar issues. The thought to hold on to til next week is that the vast majority of breast biopsies will be benign. I hope the time will pass quickly til you have the reassurance of a good result. Blessings to you.
