Limbana, I am with the rest of them wishing you well. It's hard not to worry, but when the worry shows up just tell it, "I'd rather be Whispering", and focus on the quilt. It seems by the checklist that is exactly what you have been doing. We're "hanging" with you!!! Love & prayers are being sent your way.

Limbania - wishing you the all the best in this difficult time and I'm glad that you feel you can share on here. We are for you! Sometimes the things that keep us busy are actually good diversions to keep us from going down the worry road at full speed. Let us know.

Limbania, I am amazed at how you keep up with notes here and there on the Forum and continue to work on your Chinese Whispers... and almost everything is a check already! Wish you well for tomorrow and hope that it becomes a check, done and over, nothing to worry about too! Sending positive thoughts your way! :D

I know how scary it is to find a lump, but hopefully it's not going to be a problem. Please let us know what the results are.
A lot of us have been through that too, and it's hard not to worry.
Hugs.....

Limbania, if they said that it looks like a fybroid lump then that is probably what it is - try not to worry, I know it's impossible not to worry but do try. Good luck tomorrow, I will be sending lots of positive thoughts your way. :D

Wendy, your FMQ is gorgeous!

Margo, those are great socks! Thanks for sharing.

Renata, the fabric showed up Tuesday.

So here's the first update:
Design ~ check!
Drafting ~ check!
Fabrics ~ check!
Tools. ~ check!
Is the design doable? Still figuring out a couple of details but I think is going to work :)

Second update:
Yesterday I had a diagnostic mammogram and an ultrasound. Seems to be a fibroid lump and the doctor recommended a biopsy of the lump and the lymph node near by. I'm having the biopsy today in the afternoon and will get the results next week.

DH is at work and won't be back until Friday of next week. Since there's no family or close friends near by, i'm having to go thru this on my own and staying strong to take care of DS (four) but it is really hard. Keep hopping is just a big scare and not something major. Thank you for all for your support .

Oh Cathy I know how you feel. My oldest is 31! You were probably a child-bride like me.

I have a UFO here of a knitted sampler afghan. In yellow and gold! Yuck!! I think I started I it when I was on 3 weeks bed rest after child #4. Oh my, she will be 40 this year. How do these kids get so old? I am not old enough to have children that age. No, surely not that old.

uhm - newest - hottest thing?
i seem to remember hundreds and hundreds of knitted afghans (yes many more were crochet) hanging about in the 70's and 80's...
i know my godmother has been knitting them for as long as i remember.
i know they're warm and cuddly and can be knitted to suit every household - but since most were made of wool scraps - i've also always considered them awfully scratchy (i'm very very very allergic to wool - have a woolly scarf touch my neck and i develop hives within minutes). i soooooo much prefer nice cotton (OR SILK) quilts :)

If you knit enough 8" dish rags you could make them into a quilt! It could become the newest hottest thing... you might even clean up with it!!!
