Slowly, but surely, "The Quilt" is coming along. So far I'm still liking it so, that's a good sign! :)

Now onto the sad news. Monday morning I got the phone call I never wanted to have. A call from 21st Century Oncology Center to set up an appointment. Ductal invasive carcinoma, better known as breast cancer, in the lump and the lymph node. The following Thursday in the afternoon, I have an appointment with an oncologist breast surgeon to figure out the treatment. In the meantime I forwarded the transcript and films, along with the results from the biopsy to my DS who is an ob gyn, she's contacting a good frien of hers who's an oncologist back in Mexico to get his opinion. Hoping to be able to make an informed decision for the best treatment. Please, keep sending healing and positive thoughts and prayers to get rid of this "uninvited guest".

I know there might be a concern whether I'll be able to finish "the Quilt". I will send it out on time to Nancy, pinky promise :)

I have been out all morning and have just read your news. Oh Limbania, I am soooo sorry to hear your news. :( :( My sister went through this last year (she has come through it extremely well and is even back to work) so I know quite a lot of what you are going through but know we are all here for you whenever we are needed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Please keep us informed.

I am sure that the quilt is the furthest thing on our minds, you are far more important. Do what you want to do with it but please do not let it stress you in any way.

Prayers, positive thoughts and lots of hugs

Limbania, Darn!!! Not the news any of us wanted to hear. Hopefully, working on The Whisper Quilt will be good therapy. If that's not the case, you'll have to let us know. We all want what is best for you. Keep us posted and we will keep you in our prayers and very, very close to our hearts.

I'd never seen those squares added, either. I like the look.

As usual, I'm working on a bunch of projects, skipping around as my heart leads me. Most recently I'm working on a tablecloth quilt for my mom, some little quilts for some friends of mine and a fused art quilt from Laura Wasalowski's craftsy.com class. Who knows what I'll work on next week.... (But when the Whispers quilt comes my way, I'll be working diligently on that one!!)

Adding the little squares in there is different than any I've seen or done before. I like that!
