I only have about a meter and a half to finish sewing on the binding to this wedding signature memory quilt. We put all the small signature blocks into a guestbook for everyone to sign, and then I took the scrapbook apart, after pictures were taken of it, and then put the blocks with signatures into this quilt. The bride and groom chose the pattern and the idea of fuschia and purple, which is the colour the bridesmaids wore (and the guys had purple ties! The fabrics are Kaffe and batiks. Their names were hand quilted into the binding. Richard *heart* Nadia *heart* Richard etc all the way around.

Thank you everyone for your nice comments about my bedroom. I was a tad bit disappointed with the coloring in the photo. The duvet cover is 4 different blues. When I make the bed in the morning it makes me happy.
Lotti, that is my bed. But here is one of the guest rooms we have. You are welcome to use it!

Rosemary! A dust ruffle for the exercise bike! Why didn't I think of that? ;) And, I'd love a mug rug.... Shall I pick one up when I'm there? My sweetie made limoncello yesterday. It won't be ready for 80 days, but maybe we can get together again then.....

Joyce, your silk sounds interesting. I'm sure it will prove to be perfect for something you aren't even aware of right now. Just like my fat quarter bundle. And don't you wish you could just suck all the particles out of the room with a big whoosh? I hate cleaning.....

Happy March everyone! geneva

Oh Geneva, your bedroom is lovely and so peaceful! Beautiful! The bed runner is really lovely.

And from your previous comment on "finding" the FQ set of fabrics and now giving them a good use.... maybe I'll keep some of those that I have! ;)

I've had to do a ton of cleaning in my personal sewing room w/ first water dripping, repairing the washing machine pipe, and then hubby deciding he would replace all the ceiling panels. Yeah and thank you for doing that without my begging!! I just never, never, never expected ceiling panel dust in minescule pieces to dust ev.er.y.thing. A lot of "stuff" has hit the trash and much has been more organized.

I dyed some silk/cotton blend fabric today. I didn't want the color to be screaming loud but it is actually much lighter than I expected. I overcorrected more than necessary. But after a few hours out & about, I looked at it again and I think I will keep it this way. I dried it and it is ironed. Tonight, I went to get out the flannel backing I just bought in January. I wonder where I put it now?????

In all the fabric hut and tidying I rediscovered 3 half started muggies - one has Sue's name on it when it is finished, but I've forgotten who the others were for. Think I will put them out for drinks coasters at this party (to save the new furniture & carpet of course) after that they will be up for grabs.

Geneva, for a minute there I thought you were going to buy a dust ruffle for the exercise bike, so that it would coordinate with the rest of the room - I really should be careful how I read things

PS I've got a bit of blackberry whisky left from Christmas, but not for long now I am guessing :P

Geneva, it's lovely!

I'll bring a nice Malbec from Argentina, and since it's virtual anyway, also one of my cherished wines from a local winery in Brazil. Of course, each of you is special enough I'd share in real life as well, were you to stop over....and as my supply is limited, I don't say that lightly! ;)

Running kids to school and back, grocery shopping, and must do my February row today so I can mail it off. I've got it all planned, just have to sit at the machine and sew. We adopted a cat last weekend, so have been busy acclimating her to the house (and to the dog). I'd forgotten that cats jump up onto everything, so will be buying a plastic, lidded under-bed storage box to keep my "currently working on...." things in, so if (when?) she jumps onto my sewing table, she's not getting everything covered in cat hair.

Well, as long as it's a party, I prefer vodka, no carbs don't you know!

And then we can drop in at Geneva's right next door...
Fabulous ladies, two finished makeovers, two parties and as they're virtual we can mix and mingle at both... Extra wine and munchies on the way
