It's been a really quilty few days! I had guild last Thursday (skipped it though, and went out to celebrate my birthday) then on Saturday I had a couple of mixed media type of quilt classes. (I'll share pictures later.). Yesterday we had an Outreach sewing day (quilts that go into the community) and today was Art Quilt Group. We learned how to make a poor man's silk screen. Interesting, but I don't think I'll ever do it.

Terrie, I did the same thing with a quilt for my son and his bride. It was so much fun walking around to the various tables, and chatting with people whom I just met while they signed the blocks. Your quilt is lovely.

BJ, your Hiffman Challenge may not be as intricate, but I'll bet it is stunning, with exceptional workmanship!

Congrats, Anne, on the ribbon you won for your jacket. Getting a ribbon is always such a warm fuzzy feeling! Enjoy the feeling!

Happy Motherinng day to all you quilters out there! Love that picture! I like to think since the kids been gone I am living a more fun life, if nothing else, not all the boarding responsible stuff, more fun stuff like sewing and enjoying life, who cares about cooking, cleaning and home work...not me! :)

Anne, congratulations on your ribbon. Your jacket is beautiful.
Rosemary, Happy Mothering Sunday to you too and to all the other UK mothers. Here in the US we have Mother's Day on the second Sunday in May. I think every Sunday should be a mother's day. We do so much for the family. Well, to be specific, I used too. I have gotten lazy and selfish over the years. Now, I mostly just babysit for the grandkids. If they want cookies, I will buy them some. I don't bake too much anymore, clean too much, etc. I do get in all the sewing time I can. :) Sometimes I surprise them (and myself) and actually cook a real dinner. I hope someone brings you a dinner, or takes you out to a restaurant. Happy Day!!!
