Geneva - very cute baby quilt! I'm not a saver of those tiny triangles. Good for you - and they make the quilt sparkle with bursts of color! I also use flannel on the backs but we have cold winters.

Lotti -- love your baby quilt! I'm glad you got it done in time and hope your trip is going well. Smart with the 2 sides. I need to consider some animals on the back of my next baby quilt!

Annis -- I love it that you made your quilt in miniature! I enjoy miniatures so much. Very well done!

Annis,
And a big WOWSERS!!!
Absolutely love everything about it! You said that Sue Garman inspired you. Was it a quilt she made, techniques, or something else? I think hearing about the inspirations, and what impacted your choices along the way, would be very interesting. I know you're a busy person, so doing all that writing may be more than your time permits. BUT, even if you did it for yourself and posted a copy for the rest of us to read, we'd be grateful.
I'm going to return to these pictures for inspiration. I'm crushing on that wavy ribbon border, just beyond the buttoned lattice.

Great baby quilts, Geneva and Lotti! Always fun to make but no more little ones for me. They grow up too fast.

My miniature quilt received 2nd place in the Small Traditional category at the Dallas Quilt Show. Now I can share the finished quilt and a couple close-ups. Thanks to Sue Garman for the inspiration.

Wow - Geneva and Lotti!
Love both of your baby quilts! Geneva fun to use flannels and fun to use your cutter too. Lotti neat to make a two sided quilt, I like each sides whimsy.

Lotti what a great baby quilt. It will keep the new baby busy! I like your idea of a 2 sided quilt.

I'll come over Tuesday and do your packing. I'm not so good at cleaning, but I can straighten up a little. B)

Have a marvelous trip!

babyquilt done just in time - but i have no idea who is going to clean up my apartment and who will do my packing before i leave for canada & the states on wednesday morning...
but at least this will go off to malaysia before i leave

i like babyquilts to have two "useable" sides - actually i usually have so many pieces that the only way to fit them in is to make two sides :)

Well, I made another baby quilt. This is for a little boy due in May. My niece hasn't decided on his name yet.

This was fun to make. I used my stash for the triangles, cut out with my go cutter. The blue backgrounds were left over from the duvet cover I made. I didn't have enough blues so I added the white. See, it was all carefully planned. ;)

I did buy a half yard for the border and a yard and a half for the backing. It's a soft flannel, beige with small dots of the same colors. Perfect.

Anne - I love your jacket; it is beautiful. Your star is pretty amazing too and the appliqué is jaw-dropping. Thanks for sharing and congratulations on your ribbon.
Dawn, your clam shells are amazing. You must have the patience of a saint!
Geneva - your bed runner is beautiful, such calming colours and it shows just how versatile a Square in a Square block can be. The stripes give them movement without being overwhelming. Lovely to see it in context too. The quilt behind the bed is lovely too. Your guest bedrom is so jolly and welcoming. We will all want to come to stay
Terrie the wedding quilt is gorgeous. what a wonderful reminder of a wedding day.
Lotti - loved your ironing board surfing picture!

I haven't got anything to share as my latest 3 dressmaking projects have all been wadders   :( . Now I'm going to make a sandwich of the quilty kind and hopefully regain a bit of confidence in myself
