Gina was inspired by Libby's quilt, Drift. Follow along as she shares with you some of the techniques she used to create her piece, Wishes for Libby. She shows off some of the "awesome" stitches she discovered on her BERNINA and discusses her cutwork attachment which works with her embroidery machine. Gina also demonstrates how to applique with a highly textured fabric using a water-soluable stabilizer. Using her Gammill, she demos a raw-edge longarm applique technique to emulate some of Libby's threadplay work.

We've been showing you all the wonderful quilts being created by some amazing artists that have been inspired by Libby Lehman. Now we thought we'd show you some of Libby's amazing quilts. While she was in Houston in the fall, Alex toured an exhibit of Libby's quilts with Libby's sister, Ellen, as her guide.
Express yourself while protecting your phone . . . with a quilt-themed skin. Whether you're a traditionalist, or lean more towards the Modern, you'll find something you love at one of these companies to let the world know you're proud to be a quilter.
The next time you're giving a quilt as a gift, why add a quilt pouch to the back? This great idea was sent to us by TQS member Marlette.
"When I give a quilt as a gift, I make a small muslin envelope, 4 x 4 inches, and mark on the outside that it contains fabrics from the quilt for any needed repairs. I put 3 x 3 inch squares of all the fabrics inside. I then stitch the envelope closed and slip stitch it onto the quilt backing in the corner opposite the label.
"The envelope can easily be removed if desired, but I encourage the recipient to keep it attached as the swatches will be laundered the same as the quilt, and will be a closer match (if they're needed) than if they were stored in a drawer."
If you have a great tip to share send it to us here. I will add link.
