Be sure to call the number and get an explanation from the artist about the quilt. This one caught our eyes as we dashed throught the exhibits to see what was being displayed this year.

Nothing says fun like gathering together with fellow quilters as we all try to stuff and stitch up 200 RARE Bears that will bring joy to kids with rare diseases. Soft and cuddly for the kids, these hand made bears also unite families around the world as a first step in understanding how we can develop medicines for these special kids.
Meet or make a new friend in The RARE Science Booth (#115) at Quilt Festival Houston. Each and every day, you can sit a spell, chat while you stuff or stitch...and maybe even meet a supporting celebrity or two.

Quilt teacher and author Lynn Carson Harris stops by the studio to share her love for using every last bit of fabric. Growing up on a farm, where nothing was wasted, fits perfectly with her style of quilting.
Her tips for making small improv log cabin blocks will teach you not to toss your scraps aside. And wait till you see her teach Alex the cutest 2” finished Amish style basket block.
Star Members can watch Lynn in Show 2310: Big Impact with Bits, Scraps, and Tiny Blocks, when it debuts Sunday, November 4, 2018.
We thought you might enjoy seeing these again.
Artist Ray Villafane began carving art pumpkins just for fun for his art students in Michigan. His hobby changed as he gained an online following and he began to use his genuine love for sculpting. As a nod to sewing and textiles, notice his use of zippers and ties.
WARNING: Scary, Ghoulish, and sometimes "just plain icky" pumpkins. Watch at your own discretion!
SIZZLE "Warm" kits have arrived and are shipping today. We expect the "Cool" kits shortly!
