Nothing says fun like gathering together with fellow quilters as we all try to stuff and stitch up 200 RARE Bears that will bring joy to kids with rare diseases. Soft and cuddly for the kids, these hand made bears also unite families around the world as a first step in understanding how we can develop medicines for these special kids.
Meet or make a new friend in The RARE Science Booth (#115) at Quilt Festival Houston. Each and every day, you can sit a spell, chat while you stuff or stitch...and maybe even meet a supporting celebrity or two.
Did you know?
- The RARE Bear Army of skin makers (unstuffed bears) is 5000 strong across 15 countries.
- The outreach to children is now across 50 countries and over 1000 rare diseases.
- Collectively there are 200 million children in the world that have a rare disease - you can help bring awareness, joy to kids, support to families and help drive creation of more effective medicines.
