Sometimes quilting can be very therapeutic. For Mimi Ghauri-Young, she used the process of making her quilt Finding Balance to help her work through some challenges in life. Balanced itself with its central mandala design, and containing machine quiltingmachine piecing, and appliqué, this quilt helps push forward the thought that quilting is sometimes more than just a hobby.

Finding Balance by Mimi Ghauri-Young of Yountville, California was featured in the Appliqué, Small category at Houston 2018.

Spectacular! Since I also practice Yoga I really understand this quilt. And it may have been made several years ago. But it is perfect for 2020 and the crazy year we are all having.

Love that the quilting picks up the shapes of the silhouetted people! This quilt makes me smile. As I have to remind myself, Mimi, "It's all good."
