Kathy McNeil writes that hiking through red rock country takes her breath away. We'd have to say that this quilt takes our breath away as well. Masterful appliqué and little hidden treats in the fabric keep us interested as we search and explore all the hidden details in her design.

You can learn more from Kathy in Show 1802: Fearless Quilting and Fabulous Results.

Sacred Places was on display in the Naturescape quilts category at the Houston International Quilt Festival 2018.

I love this quilt. We have visited all five of the national parks in Utah along with the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone/Gra nd Tetons. All of this area is full of sacred places. I found the turtle, bear, man and several kokopelis. Wonderful work.
