Freddy Moran hadn't been feeling well and just wasn't her usual self when it came to creating. What did she do to overcome her "quilter's block"? Alex found out when she visited Freddy's latest exhibition, Face The Year. It's something anyone can do.

The quilts were split into two exhibition sites. Bay Quilts in Richmond, CA and Hello Stitch Studio in Berkeley, CA.

Would love to know the name of the musical piece used with this exhibit.

I love everything about Freddys quilts, the vibrant color scheme and patterns. She gives me hope to improve my skills. With the pandemic, this is a great time to practice some of her
patterns, are there any tutorials that would help me to create a face quilt?

As a relatively new quilter I saw copies of Collaborative Quilting I and II at Back Porch Fabrics. Those books, and the course I leapt to attend at Empty Spools featuring Freddy and Gwenny, changed my quilting life. Freddy was very kind, encouraging and inspiring, as was Gwen, but Freddy had a quiet chat with me one day on the subject of aging and maintaining creativity and using that creativity to stay focused...and alive. She really helped me face my own aging curve with courage and zest. Thanks for that my dear Freddy!
