Debbie Carrington was inspired by her love of the radiant blue and white china in her grandmother's home. Their Blue Willow meat platter was brought out every Christmas. Debbie's The Legend of the Blue Willow quilt is an amazing reproduction of the Blue Willow pattern in fabric. Using original digitized embroidery, machine quilting, painting, and more, Debbie has recreated the feel of beautiful Spode china.

Debbie's quilt was exhibited at the Houston International Quilt Festival 2018 in the Alternative Techniques category.

I love your quilt!! You captured the pattern with exquisite perfection. Can you tell I love Blue Willow? Lol. It was a special Sunday Dinner if we got homemade tapioca with bananas in a blue willow bowl at grandmas house.

This is unbelievable! I too loved my Grandma's Blue Willow dishes. It would be great to have directions of the methods used for this and access to the digitized designs. Not sure I could replicate it but it would be amazing to try. Thank you for sharing.

I am a blue willow fan but it would take me a lot of courage to do this one. Wonderful work.

My everyday dishes are the Blue Willow from England.
I love the blue and white Willow design. I agree with Capt. John, it's hard to tell how it was made.

I absolutely love this quilt. I am not only a fan of blue and white anything but especially Blue Willow. I had two tea sets as a child and they are on display today. This is beautiful. Definitely should be in a museum or hanging so you get the full effect.
