The design, the variety of media, the color(s), and then the superb quilting detail differently shows the high caliber of both art and craft that these ladies have displayed in their beautiful RED quilt.

Hi, thank you everyone for your amazing comments, my name is Ellie Smith, l live in Spain. What you may not know is Patti lives in Tennessee. We were friends for 7 yrs but only on the internet we never met. Patti rang me one day and said why don't we make a quilt together, well we did, exchanging ideas by text, phoning each other and sending each other fabrics. The main red fabric was chosen by Patti and she sent me strips for the borders and l duly sewed on all those Hexies and so e other borders. When it was finished l visited Patti and we went to our very first show together and we won a 1st and 2nd place there. Since then it has travelled all over 14 States in the USA, winning 10 1st places 2 x 2nd places and HM in Paducah. They sent it to me in Spain. I travelled to the UK Iput it into the NEC Birmingham UK show where it won Highly Commended.
