Ellen's Baby Back Sack - I bought this kit at the Lizzie B booth in Long beach last year. I had a blast meeting Liz and Beth. The BackSack turned out great - it was a baby gift and the Mom to be loved it!

"Jenny's Quilt" - "Jenny's quilt" The manager of my local sewing center, commissioned me to do this quilt for her nephew's wedding. It's a revised nine patch in various white on black, and black on white with a deep red half on the center half square triangle, and a piano key border. It was quilted in the ditch except the center. Finally accented with a deep red binding. I really hated to give it up, but a deal's a deal.

Christmas Surprises
Name of Maker: Carol Muller/Mom
Christmas Surprises - I made two of this design...one for each of my daughters for Christmas. They were totally surprised. I think I finally finished them the day before they were due home. I made a patch for the back that included the date, their name and "Love, Mom". I added many embellishments...put their names on some of the shoppes and each of their names on a shoppe on her sister's quilt. As my grandfather was a baker, I put my mother's maiden name on the bakery. I hope they will treasure them for many years, and feel the love for them each time they look at it.
Carlsbad Beach 1
Name of Maker: Li Hertzi
Carlsbad Beach 1 - This is my second "quilt". I am not sure if this qualifies as a quilt... It measures in at the diminuative dimension of 6" x 6", fit to cover a mouse couple if neither are in the habit of hogging the quilt... It is thread painted - machine thread painted... I did use stabilizer as some of you suggested and I started out with a hoop. The stabilizer bunched up in places and the hoop wouldn't allow me to get to the edges, so I ditched that too... BUT I plan to do more of these and will try both of these again. This process is surprisingly addicting... This was inspired by the amazing quilters at the National Artisans for Bernina retreat. Here are my questions: 1. Do I need to change the bobbin tension for this? 2. How do you attach the stabilizer? Or can I just do this on really really stiff fabric? 3. My machine is squeaking now... I will look up where to squirt it, but is it just the hard use I inflicted on it in the last coupla days? Thank you so Much!

Painted Fantasia
Name of Maker: DeLynn
Painted Fantasia - This was created from Ricky's Fantasia block. Instead of applique, I created a stencil from the Fantasia pattern and then used Shiva Paintstiks to paint the design on the background. Then I used both blanket and triple stitch outlines to make it look like applique. The wonky borders were free cut (no pattern) thanks to more of Ricky's influence.
Ashten
Name of Maker: vmckenna
Ashten - The machine embroideried blocks are cross-stitched designs with over 510,000 stitches. The quilting is all free motion - my first attempt at free motion - and with feathers no less!
Mama
Name of Maker: Patt Blair
Mama - Can you sense the mood of this mother? Natures non human creatures are soooo revealing. This mother looks tired, she looks loving, and she looks like if you mess with her offspring, her energy will surge, and she'll rise up to protect her child. Well, thats what we human moms would do too, so the name Mama seemed to me to fit!
Father Christmas
Name of Maker: Patt Blair
Father Christmas - Father Christmas is an ink painted original design and now a class. Students use inverted rubber stamps and wood snowflakes for rubbings and use teacher drawings to embellish their Father Christmas coat with things that best represent who they uniquely are.
