This is my second "quilt". I am not sure if this qualifies as a quilt... It measures in at the diminuative dimension of 6" x 6", fit to cover a mouse couple if neither are in the habit of hogging the quilt... It is thread painted - machine thread painted... I did use stabilizer as some of you suggested and I started out with a hoop. The stabilizer bunched up in places and the hoop wouldn't allow me to get to the edges, so I ditched that too... BUT I plan to do more of these and will try both of these again. This process is surprisingly addicting... This was inspired by the amazing quilters at the National Artisans for Bernina retreat. Here are my questions: 1. Do I need to change the bobbin tension for this? 2. How do you attach the stabilizer? Or can I just do this on really really stiff fabric? 3. My machine is squeaking now... I will look up where to squirt it, but is it just the hard use I inflicted on it in the last coupla days? Thank you so Much! |
