Accident 1 (Green)
Name of Maker: mc555
Accident 1 (Green) - Saw Youtube demo on raised Cathedral Window squares ,got carried away making them, using fabrics from my stash. Made loads both with green and pink borders. Use them in a quilt ?? Teamed the windows up with Celtic Blocks from Philomena's Wiechec's pattern book I had. My first mixed green/pink design I did not like. Back to make more squares and blocks and hence my first quilt by accident grew. There are loads of things that are not perfect and it is the first quilt I have made without a finished picture to follow and it certainly helped pass a long, weary Winter
Norma's Quilt
Name of Maker: Sue Wood
Norma's Quilt - This quilt was started during the Australasian Quilt Convention in 2009 in Melbourne in a class with Beth Miller from Australia. It was made for my sister who suffers from Alzheimer's. She has always been a bit of a zany person and loves her cats so this central fabric seemed perfect.
Cathedral Impressions
Name of Maker: Janet Hartje
Cathedral Impressions - This quilt was created for the MCQ Challenge, Melange a Trois. It will be in the Minnesota Quilt Show in June, 2010. I was inspired by Claude Monet's painting Rouen Cathedral. I tried to recreate his cathedral using a bleach pen to discharge fabric. Since this was 'a trois' I made two more Cathedral's, each a little different. The unifying piece is the angelina fiber stained glass window. I created a mat and frame so it would look more like a piece of art, such as the original 'Rouen Cathedral'.

As the Crow Flies
Name of Maker: iwnaqlt
As the Crow Flies - "As the Crow Flies", incorporates traditional blocks and original crow designs. I used applique and paper piecing techniques. I am trying to learn as much as possible. I like using symbolism in my designs. This one has the crows and geese flying in all directions and has the marine's compass blocks to point the way. I also used four colors representing the four seasons. I had a wonderful time creating this quilt and it shows that I have a lot to learn!

Sushi Explosion - What to do after miscutting the sushi patterned fabric into two different sizes instead of all the same so they would fit together? Regroup and redesign them with an undulating border and variety of blacks for the background. Paula had the perfect KOI fish quilting pattern and we were set.
Tiddly Winks Jacket
Name of Maker: Deborah Ross
Tiddly Winks Jacket - I had always wanted to make a black and white jacket, after completing it I though it needed color so I added the dots. They fell on the floor and when I looked down they reminded me of the old game of Tiddly Winks.
