Design Source - Description | This quilt was created for the MCQ Challenge, Melange a Trois. It will be in the Minnesota Quilt Show in June, 2010. I was inspired by Claude Monet's painting Rouen Cathedral. I tried to recreate his cathedral using a bleach pen to discharge fabric. Since this was 'a trois' I made two more Cathedral's, each a little different. The unifying piece is the angelina fiber stained glass window. I created a mat and frame so it would look more like a piece of art, such as the original 'Rouen Cathedral'. |
