Northern Lights - Blocks use 18 different fabrics to create a wonderful floating point star

Starlit Rose - This quilt is done with the Willowberry Winter collection by Maywood Studios. It is full size and tones range from burgundy to pink and light moss green to dark hunter. It has 12 blocks with a pieced sashing and mitered borders.

Celebration for Aasta - This is a photo quilt celebrating Aasta's high school graduation. It is totally original, there is no pattern at all.

The Girls - I was given these 7 fabrics and told to make a challenge quilt. Four of us would exchange. i'm the only one who finished.

My first Lone Star - My first foray into the Quilting Class World and I had to choose to do a Lone Star! It is poofy in the middle so I have never quilted it. This is the first photo of it and now I realize I need to choose a different background fabric, too.

Hearts redeux - Primary colored hearts on baby blue background. Quilted in the ditch 'cause I was in a real big hurry with a deadline!

Galactica! - I was inspired to draw many different Mariner's Compass designs after taking Kathy Delaney's class "The Mariner's Compass Is Our Friend". All the Mariner's Compasses were drafted by me. The circular, regular Mariner's Compass was set in using Ricky Tim's method I learned his seminar in Mesa, AZ. The irregular Mariner's Compasses were pieced with the background. All the center circles were appliqued on by hand. I really had fun designed and constructing this quilt.

Stairway to the Stars - Made as a fundraiser for Race the Wind Greyhound Adoption of Kansas. Pictures of retired racers are included in the quilt. Auctioned off at Greyhound America 2007, Abilene, Kansas.

My Mexican Stars - I liked this bright and cheery pattern,which uses "straight seam piecing with curved results” methods. The piecing is fast, fun and easier than it looks! It went together in a day. I had fun machine quilting it, too.

Save Our Siberians - Pat, Cheryl and her quilting group created a quilt which was raffled at SHCA Nationals in NY. The quilt background was "Storm at Sea" with a paw print border. It features six portraits depicting Siberian Huskies with various coat, eye and nose colours

Kachina Sand Painting - I was intrigued by Cheryl Phillips' circular quilts in her book, Quilt Without Corners, and loved this one, using the 9 degree ruler. It was quite a challenge to piece so I learned a lot. The designs in the center circle, as well as the center circle itself, were appliqued onto the top by machine. I really enjoyed quilting it on my Juki. It was also a challenge to hang, which was solved by hanging it on many "between" needles. Needless to say it doesn't come down often. I carefully dust it with the vacuum turned on low power. It really looks great in our bedroom, which was painted to coordinate with quilt.

Hopi Basketry - I wanted to make another southwestern quilt and had recently visited Hopi Land in AZ, so this pattern using the 9 degree wedge ruler caught my eye. It was fun to make and I taught several classes to make this quilt at local quilt stores over the next couple of years. The center circle is appliqued onto the quilt top, which is then cut out behind the circle before quilting. It was a challenge to quilt; but, I learned a lot doing it!

Under the Sea - I wanted to try the pattern Yellow Brick Road. The pattern features use of fat quarters, but I had a print with sea life and colors I just loved, so added fat quarters to complete it. Probably took some liberties with the block placements. :-)

Quilt Inspired! - When I saw Jean Wells technique on TQS, my first thought was how cool it would be to make monograms or spell out words! Inspiration takes time, but here it is...

Quilt 1 - This is my first quilt ever. I didn't have a pattern, but I always get into things over my head. It took me a couple of months to complete.

Third Weekend in October - I took about a year to gather all the material for this quilt. It is paper pieced.I worked on it for about 3 months, put it away for a year & then went back & finished it. It was a very hard quilt to make. I gave it to my sister & her family for Christmas. They live in Connecticut & when We visited them in October, this quilt reminds me of what We saw.
