Field of Flowers
Name of Maker: serin10
Field of Flowers - Half square striped triangles with s curved center. This quilt was made for Ricky Tims 2011 5 fabric challenge. It was the first time I had ever done paper piecing and of course I started with my own block. Paperpiecing is not as easy as it looks when curves are involved.

sock monkeys and scripture for Shellie
Name of Maker: Jan Joseph
sock monkeys and scripture for Shellie - Took me a long time to make, learning all the way. Couldn't have finished it without Local Quilt Shop for the binding and Member Cheryl Begg ? for the final quilting of the last border. She send me a link for a you tube video on how to make a quilting table with insulation to go around the machine which was awesome. Look for the link on forum for new quilters questions.
Golden Ratio Tree Skirt
Name of Maker: Kari Lippert
Golden Ratio Tree Skirt - Wicked point challenges! I was asked by the designer to do this sample for the magazine.
old-church-doors
Name of Maker: Wendy Bain

Old Church Doors - The archway was made in three pieces, the door was strip pieced from a fabulous batik, and the stones and steps are individual pieces fused on. The mortar was done with Tsukineko markers, and I used paints, inks and makeup for shading. Every piece is stitched down in some manner. Image copyright Michael Coddington, 2011. Playful Pnwheels

Totems
Name of Maker: Qlts2Slo
Totems - Made for a challenge where any block could be selected but 3 different sizes of the block were dictated, as was the location of each size block. The orientation of the blocks was up to the creators. My family and I started to see fish shapes, teepees, drums and masks (too much wine at dinner?) in this quilt so I named it Totems. The quilting design is modified from Dr. Joyce Mori's Expanding Star Wholecloth design from her book "Native American Designs for Quilting". A picture of the back with the quilt design more visible is included in my photos.
My Favorite House
Name of Maker: Roine Oquist
My Favorite House - I saw this pattern in my LQS and fell in love. I love anything with a house on it. It took me 1 1/2 yrs to complete and was worth every minute of it. It's done in mostly wools with some silk, silk velvet, cottons and various embelishments including beading.
Coffee Time

Coffee Time - This is a collection of 4 quilts made from a printed panel. They are suitable for mounting as "flags" or banners for decoration. Intended purpose is to celebrate Fathers Day. The guys at the center are honored then with root beer floats and popcorn. They should make the place a bit brighter and cheerier.
