Save the Last Dance for Me
Name of Maker: Sue Parker
Save the Last Dance for Me - The photos were of each year my granddaughter was in dance. I made this for her last year dance. I used t-shirt transfers for the photos. I had an allergic reaction to the detergent that I washed the fabrics in and my mom had to quilt it for me. I had to take benedryl so I could finish the peicing. It really turned out better than the picture shows. She loved the fan design she saw when I took her to a local quilt show. How the fans are put together reminded me of a tu-tu. So it fit right in with the theme.

Tracey & Dawn's Wedding Quilt
Name of Maker: Sue Parker
Tracey & Dawn's Wedding Quilt - This is a collective scrap quilt using fabrics left over from garments. I was making this my daughter but when I put the green in she decided she didn't want it. My son had just gotten engaged and my new dil to be loved it and the colors were perfect for their new home. She purchased some very expensive lace for the wedding that she couldn't use anywhere else. So..I appliqued sections of the lace on each blank block. It really dressed up the plain triple irish chain. It has their wedding date at the bottom embroidered on by machine. It is a heirloom treasure for them.
