Montana Cartwheel
Name of Maker: Peggy Gelbrich
Montana Cartwheel - I am a very traditional quilter so this was a stretch and a good one. It was made from my ugly scraps. The only fabric purchased was the dark blue.
Ryan's Quilt
Name of Maker: Marcie Davis
Ryan's Quilt
Kavan's Star
Name of Maker: Kimber
Kavan's Star - I adapted this pattern by adding a special block (top left corner) to use my late grandfather's tie. This quilt was made for my newborn nephew.
Baby Blues
Name of Maker: Jennifer Lynch
Baby Blues - Made for the first grandchild of my dear friend Patti. Thankfully, no one in their family is a quilter, so I don't have to be embarrassed by the inaccurate piecing. They all know that the point is love, not the points. So don't look too closely, just know that Dylan is loved beyond reason.
Henny Penny Pillow
Name of Maker: Jennifer Lynch
Henny Penny Pillow - This pillow began as the McCall's 2007 Symposium block challenge. The black and white large dotted Michael Miller fabric was sent to attendees with the instructions to make a 12" block. My friend Wendy was struggling with the fact that after nearly 12 months of fighting brain cancer, her sister was losing the battle. Wendy had tears in her eyes when she told us that her sister was the only one in her life that remembered her pet chicken named Henny Penny. So I made this pillow for Wendy to remind her that memories live on when shared with friends. Henny is a happy reminder of the good times, and quite huggable too!
Go Irish
Name of Maker: Jennifer Lynch
Go Irish - This quilt was made in gratitude of the kindness of our neighbor Seamus. A true bachelor, Seamus and his band of merry friends celebrated each weekend with beer and barbeque on their porch. We lived as neighbors while our house was being rebuilt after the Cedar Fire in San Diego County. A tragedy such as losing your home and belongings is difficult to endure, but we had Seamus to cheer us up and remind us of the truly important things in life - friends. I chose the pattern and color (all green) in honor of his Irishness, and backed the quilt with flannel. He and his friends enjoy the warmth of my gift to them, as I enjoy the gift of their friendship and acceptance.
Aloha Nui Loa
Name of Maker: Jennifer Lynch
Aloha Nui Loa - This quilt was made as a wedding gift for my cousin and his bride. They love the ocean and had a Hawiian themed wedding. I made the quilt from 30 fat quarters, using about 17 fabrics in all. It was the first large quilt I quilted by myself. I got pretty good at stippling by the end. The pattern is very easy, and the results were rather spectacular if I do say so myself.

Aunt Laurie's Quilt
Name of Maker: Kc and Peter
Aunt Laurie's Quilt - Peter and I made this quilt for my aunt for a Christmas present. We were so close to not getting it done in time that Peter was sewing the binding on in the car as we were driving to Spokane for the holiday. We had a lot of fun making this quilt.
Lighthouse at Peggy's Cove
Name of Maker: Niki Beaulac
Lighthouse at Peggy's Cove - I designed this quilt from a photo I took on a trip to Nova Scotia in 2006. I made the quilt as a wedding gift for my nephew and his new wife who is a collector of lighthouse paraphanalia.
Patriotic Pedals
Name of Maker: Lynne Potter
Patriotic Pedals - I got this pattern in the form of a print out from someone whom I cant remember. I liked the pattern so much that I thought I would try it Reds, Whites, and Blues. After I picked out a White background, the rest was easy to do. I was really surprisedon how it turned out. I am fairly new to quliting, and I have some knowledge of quilting, but I never in my wildest dreams thought that I could make something as pretty as this wallhanging. It only measures 33" x 33". The hardest part I had was putting the batting and the back pieces on. I alway have trouble with that part of quilting.
