Henny Penny Pillow

Henny Penny Pillow - This pillow began as the McCall's 2007 Symposium block challenge. The black and white large dotted Michael Miller fabric was sent to attendees with the instructions to make a 12" block. My friend Wendy was struggling with the fact that after nearly 12 months of fighting brain cancer, her sister was losing the battle. Wendy had tears in her eyes when she told us that her sister was the only one in her life that remembered her pet chicken named Henny Penny. So I made this pillow for Wendy to remind her that memories live on when shared with friends. Henny is a happy reminder of the good times, and quite huggable too!
