Go Irish

Go Irish - This quilt was made in gratitude of the kindness of our neighbor Seamus. A true bachelor, Seamus and his band of merry friends celebrated each weekend with beer and barbeque on their porch. We lived as neighbors while our house was being rebuilt after the Cedar Fire in San Diego County. A tragedy such as losing your home and belongings is difficult to endure, but we had Seamus to cheer us up and remind us of the truly important things in life - friends. I chose the pattern and color (all green) in honor of his Irishness, and backed the quilt with flannel. He and his friends enjoy the warmth of my gift to them, as I enjoy the gift of their friendship and acceptance.
