Many Loves, One True Love
Name of Maker: Wanda Travis
Many Loves, One True Love - I cut 10 inch blocks of numerous purple material, then stacked them in a layer of 4. I made 4 cuts and rotated the pieces off the top to the back and sewed them together, making sure no two same pieces were in the block. Then appliqued hearts onto each block. All hearts were done in shades of yellow, except one, a red rose material. I sewed in tea/green sashing in between the blocks. Then added a crimson red boarder and black sashing. I made this for my wonderful husband.

Name of Maker: Alison George
Logs for Chris - This is a blue and brown log cabin for my husband, Chris. It is split with gorgeous yellow farmyard fabric and Donna has quilted it with "choocks" or chickens.
Papi's Wish
Name of Maker: liiddz
Papi's Wish - This quilt was made originally as a throw/ Lap size. When I first presented the top to my dad, he enjoyed to see my WIP's, he requested that it be twin sized for his bed. My dad was a strong man whose health deteriorated quickly along with his ability to walk, which was why I had began it as a Lap size. However, as many quilters face the challenge of not having enough fabric on hand to make an entirely second quilt top from the same design. I added the rails on either end to give it length. This quilt is resting with my father in his final resting place. He never got to rest under it when he was here. I finished quilting it during his final stay at the hospital.
Colourwash Blues
Name of Maker: Alison George
Colourwash Blues - This quilt combines colourwash using autumn coloured 5" charm squares, cut diagonally into 4 x triangles and teamed with a dark blue offset for the other half of each "sqaure". The colourwash effect was then based on the autumn colours moving from light to dark across the quilt top. The back is also pieced, using many of the different fabrics and border colours.
Beryl's Vase
Name of Maker: dc4of8
Beryl's Vase - Quilt made for my mother. Pattern is Patricia Campbell's "Beryl's Vase". All applique is needle turned. This quilt took me approximately 10 years from start to finish. It spent 6 years in a closet waiting for me to finish it while I worked long hours. Once I started working on it again, I was glad I did. It was machine quilted by someone in Maine, where we lived at the time. I cannot remember the quilter's name.
Double Irish Chain
Name of Maker: MLinMI
Double Irish Chain - Given as a baby shower gift to someone who is now my best friend! She was the answer to many many prayers! And maybe the quilt had something to do with it, too! ;)
You Are My Lucky Star
Name of Maker: MLinMI
You Are My Lucky Star - This is a quilt I made for my grandmother in 2003. I chose the roses fabric because my grandmother loves roses and the collection reminded me of her Royal Dalton tea cups that she loved. In 2004 she was moved to a nursing home, so this quilt came back to me.
Our Back Yard
Name of Maker: Barbaralynn
Our Back Yard - Thirty different greens make up the 300 trees with seven different backgrounds to go from blue sky and sunlight to deep in the woods.
IN MEMORY
Name of Maker: chilizee
IN MEMORY - The original quilt was called "In Memoriam". It focused on using small squares to create an image which was a cross with a rainbow effect. I adapted the image and translated it to make on gridded fusible interfacing. Similar to the way that watercolor quilts are made. I have made three so far with only one more needed right now. I give them to family and friends that have suffered losses. The 1st went to a mother who lost her 13y/o son to asthma. On the rear I had a picture of the teen transferred to fabric with a message of comfort. The mother really treasured it. I never met her I guess you can say I was commisioned by a friend. (no charge) The 2nd was for my mother in memory of grandma. On the back I used fabric from a blouse that I saved to embroider the memoriam. The most recent is for a girlfriend who lost her mom a few days before Christmas. I have the mother's blouse as well. I do this to bring comfort and hope for those with losses and comfort myself in giving.
Love & Life
Name of Maker: Connie Ambrosio
Love & Life - The flowers and sashing are all one piece of fabric. Where the pinwheels are was also a flower which I cut out and then reversed appliqued the pinwheels in the space.

John's T Shirt Quilt - Made on my Son's Graduation from some of his favorite T-Shirts!
Spice
Name of Maker: Cindy Bartosewcz
Spice - Our quilt guild was challenged to make a quilt using two quilt blocks, used any way they wished. I used the Shoo Fly block and the Eight Pointed Star block with color placement to come up with this design. I loved planning out the color placements and deciding just what the fabrics and colors would be. What I ended up with is nowhere near what I had in mind when I started out.

Clover Lake - This quilt was featured in a special invitational exhibit at International Quilt Festival, Houston, TX and in the C&T Book Innovative Digital Imagery by Cyndy Rymer and Lynn Koolish.

Warm for Winter - This quilt pattern was purchased in VT, while on vacation 2 years ago. It's made from recycled sweaters found at the local trift shop... easy to get in FL. It was recently given to my friend in upstate PA where the tempratures are low and her gas bill is high.

Lighthouses for Lindy - I used the pattern but added embroidery lighthouses puchased on EBAY instead of the Daisies. The quilt was given to a friend suffering from reast cancer who loves lighthouses.
