Mystery Quilt - I signed up for a mystery quilt class and I thought I would be making a block (as 1 only) a month. Little did know some months I had to make 6 or 7 but here is the result. I think I would like to try this one again but this time in Batiks and restrict my self to a certain number of colors now that I know what the final look will be.

Santa Quilt

Denim Circle Quilt - I made this quilt for my niece's high school graduation. She chose purple for the "windows". The jeans were donated by various family members.

Hideous Kinky - "Hideous" refers to the completely awful fabric colors I started with -- a refugee from a paint factory explosion. "Kinky" refers to the fact that this unfortunate piece of fabric was completely off grain. I wanted to give it an "extreme makeover," and how better than to use Ricky's convergence method? The converged fabric was cut into the wavy and sun shapes and appliquéd to the background. I used variegated rayon thread for quilting and bound with a colorful batik.

Night Stars for my Friends - I wanted to make the friendship star block without points to match. My corner triangles don't quite meet the corner of the square which make the back a beginner patch.

Wedding Quilt - I have been quilting for about 5 years already and the six quilts I've made have always belonged to somebody else (friends/aunts ect...). This is the first quilt I made with me in mind, my favorite colours and a pattern I picked. I loved each minute of making it, even the stippling...... Quilting is one of my passions...

The Lady of the Lake - Making a special quilt for all the grandkids, {I'm a fairy tale lover} this is for Laikon, my oldest. I make them as inspiration hits me with all my favorite subjects. The faces are loosely based on the child but that requires real talent to make a match, sooo.

Christmas Sampler - 12 Blocks were from the patterns of my guild's Block of the Month in 2005. The blocks were made from a selection of Christmas fabrics from a "Sweet Treat' pack plus fabrics added as needed. The setting was done on EQ5. Quilting was done by Lynne Turner-Liro on her APQS long-arm.

Wheel of Mystery - I bought this as a precut kit. Had this not been precut, I probably would never had made it. Kits can be a good thing. This was my first experience sewing curves. This was a great learning experience.

Mom's Garden Treasures - My mom saw this in one of my quilting catalogs. When she said she liked it I offered to make it for her as a Christmas gift, but little did I know when she saw the pattern she asked me to enlarge it to a Cal King. so here it is. The blocks are on point.

Steve's Guitars - My son Steve is big time into playing music. He has been playing guitar since High School so when I saw this pattern on P & B's web site, through the "Quilt Show" web site I might add, I wanted to make it for him. I couldn't find the fabric anywhere in Maine, where I live, so I choose ones I liked and I'm pleased with the results. It's a 37th birthday present so I hope he likes it.

Linda's Baltimore Christmas Quilt - The quilt in the magazine was made from a panel. I decided to embroider my 5 blocks and I was able to locate the border fabric from the Mimi Dietrich's Baltimore Museum of Art collection.

Flower Garden - I got the idea for this quilt from a picture I saw in Quilter's Newsletter (I think) of Judy Dale's first quilt. We had just learned to do "English Paper Piecing" at our guild meeting. I thought it would be fun to try making flowers like I had seen in Judy's quilt and a way to use up scraps. Well, six years later I finally finished it. The border is my (with lots of husband input) design. The quilting was suggested by Harriet Hargrave in a class I took on "How to Quilt Your Quilt". By the way I really don't enjoy hand sewing! Seemed like a good idea when I started.

One is Enough - The center block is from Carol Doak's book, "Bright & Bold Paper-Pieced Blocks". I was going to make a large quilt from this pattern, but decided "One is Enough" after finishing the first block. So . . . I turned it into a wall hanging by adding corners and a border. I don't think paper-piecing is my thing. Since it is small, I hand quilted it.
