Pumpkin Wreath - I ordered this pattern from Jan's web site. Just had to have it. I machine pieced and stitched in the ditch. I hand quilted in the blocks.

Tropical Dreams on a Winter's Day - Quilt top made in the summer when playing with the pattern. Machine quilted from the back using a swirl pattern and varigated Signature poly #30 thread.

Brilliance - Modified pattern as published in McCall's Quilting Oct. '07. Adapted by inpiration from Amish bold color Card Trick quilts. Paper Piecing technique used for center Card Trick Pattern. My very first full sized quilt made for my daughter. Used for therapy to learn how to read instructions and strengthen my muscles after an illness. Provided an heirloom in the event my illness progressed.

the raven and the bear - The quilt came to life after my trip to Canada. I talked to some native Canadians and their totems intrigued me. I heard stories that were given from father to son This quilt depicts one of the stories. Why we have the sun the moon and the stars. I was hard to get it just right. In my head the quilt worked , in my dreams the quilt worked but every time I wanted to put the 3 pieces together it was not it. I got it after a lot of thinking and in the end it was so simple. How the world got the light.

Afrika 4 - I was in Afrika and was really intrigued by the little hens that ran every where(loopvogels in Dutch) Then I saw the fabric with the little birds but how to give the elusion of them running. I think I did it the quilt is a reminder of Africa the colors and the birds.

What's In A Rainbow? - I am fascinated with rainbows and when asked to make a mandala quilt for a show at the Medford, OR Library, I had one image in my mind and decided I would just do it. My stash gave me 140 different fabrics and I added 169 Swarovski crystals. My mandala friends said this quilt is me. It feels like me and I am quite pleased with this art quilt. The biggest challenge was to get a round piece 22" in diameter to stay flat against the wall. A little engineering and I did it without macrame rings - those are for the next quilt.

Double Friendship Star - This book has some good patterns, but the colors chosen are kind of odd.

Houndstooth - This quilt was auctioned at a Mother and Unborn Baby pregnancy help center benefit in 2002 or 2003. There is an error!!! Can you see it? I flip-flopped two blocks!!! Oh well... the lady who won it loved it and I think it raised a good amount for the pregnancy help center!
