The quilt came to life after my trip to Canada. I talked to some native Canadians and their totems intrigued me. I heard stories that were given from father to son This quilt depicts one of the stories. Why we have the sun the moon and the stars. I was hard to get it just right. In my head the quilt worked , in my dreams the quilt worked but every time I wanted to put the 3 pieces together it was not it. I got it after a lot of thinking and in the end it was so simple. How the world got the light. |
