Harvest Home - Sorry that the image is sideways.
Chain of Love
Name of Maker: N. Bess Campbell-Domme
Chain of Love - This is the oversized lap quilt I made for my husband. This was my first attempt with flannel. My husband chose the fabrics he wanted (I think he made really good choices). This picture was taken while the quilt was hanging in a local quilt show in Elephant Butte, NM.
Blue Jean Surprise
Name of Maker: N. Bess Campbell-Domme
Blue Jean Surprise - This is a quilt made for my son out of his worn out jeans. It is pieced and backed with flannel. It weighs a TON and the quilting was challenging because of the weight. I had fun cutting up his jeans and included several pockets for storing things like the remote for his TV, an MP3 player, etc. In the center block I even included a patch with the fly of a pair of jeans. This made a closeable pocket, and for fun I lined the inside of this block with a pair of his boxer shorts! This is a wonderful quilt to cuddle under!
Kristi's Garden
Name of Maker: Catherine Smith
Kristi's Garden - A few years ago, my best friend Kristi asked me to make a wall hanging with a fat quarter packet of purples and greens. But I had so much fabric left over, I couldn't leave well enough alone! This pattern worked so well to use up the leftover fabric -- she now has a lap quilt to go along with the wall hanging.
sashiko small quilt
Name of Maker: Maryanne Peaslee
sashiko small quilt - I used traditional sashiko type designs copyright free and combined them together. I have not had my embroidery software for a year yet and am still learning and feel comfortable using simple designs as opposed to digitizing entire flowers or cartoon drawings. The border is the diamond flower design amd the center is a combination of mulberry and lotus flower designs.
Love Blooms
Name of Maker: Florence Barnick
Love Blooms - Traditional pattern, but used Ricky's trapunto method for the first time in the quilting--stitching the trapunto/quilting design on the back of the top using disolving thread and water-soluble stabilizer, then sandwiching and quilting from the front, using the disolving thread as the marking for the quilting... like magic! Most of the trapunto is simple Celtic knots, along with a few doves scattered across, since this was a wedding gift for my best friend. Fabric is all from Old Blooms by Pat Sloan for P&B Textiles.
Granny's X-Block
Name of Maker: Lorna Westfall
Granny's X-Block - This is for our guild's fabric challenge. I didn't care for one so I decided to minimize it and press on with the challenge. One of the challenge fabrics is in the center of each 9 patch. The other is "hiding" in the 1/2" inner border.

Name of Maker: Ann R.
African Mystery - This quilt took on a life of its own when my original idea for the convergence wouldn't go back together the way I had planned. Its better this way.
