Batik Ladies
Name of Maker: Joan Foster
Batik Ladies - We'd just been to Houston, and had to have a memory of Ricky's spectacular work. Strangely, I tuned into Alex's show and thought I saw my quilt at the end of her program. I don't know if someone else had the same idea, or if great minds think alike. It flashed by so quickly, I couldn't really say that it was the same! I liked using his idea as the border for the batiked ladies that I'd picked up in Palm Springs.
Silas' Baby Quilt
Name of Maker: Grma Judy
Silas' Baby Quilt - My first grandbaby quilt using basic primary color. I located all the fabrics at Bay Window Quilts Shop in Perham, MN. It was just what I wanted to do for this first babe.
Will's Dream
Name of Maker: Cindy Dailey
Will's Dream - This Quilt is in Kaye England's pattern book "Somewhere in Time". I started this Quilt as a Cot size quilt and once my son saw how it was turning out, he decided he wanted it for his bed. I love working in 1800 prints and scrap's. This was lot's of fun.
Civil War Patch Stars
Name of Maker: Cindy Dailey
Civil War Patch Stars - This Quilt was made to be used as a rolled cot blanket on the backside of a horse. My son gave it to his girlfriend for her birthday. Somehow it never made it to the horse. I have made several of this size quilt. This one was a lot of fun, a lot of bit's and pieces.
Jenni's Quilt
Name of Maker: Joan Foster
Jenni's Quilt - Jenni's quilt for her new baby. Jenni was a Grade Seven student in my class years ago. Her parents are still good friends of ours, and it seemed a good idea to make her a quilt.
Dori's Quilt
Name of Maker: Joan Foster
Dori's Quilt - I made this quilt for Dori, a friend who lives in the town where my husband and I met. I don't know why, but I thought she needed it, and sure enough, she was in some marital problems, which she confessed in her thank you note. The four corners--the Patience blocks--represent her four children. Love is central to her life. She does everything with passion: schoolteaching, raising kids, keeping up with friends. There's a star in the design to represent Dori. She told me she picked up the parcel at the Post Office, and was so delighted that she stopped several neighbours on the way home to show them the gift.
Kim's Quilt on the Ragin' Main
Name of Maker: Joan Foster
Kim's Quilt on the Ragin' Main - Kim wanted a taste of home when she worked on ships as a purser, then as Asst to the Captain. I sent her with this quilt which she still enjoys in her new home in Victoria. I also sent her with a pillow, but it was stolen in the airport in Miami. I didn't know whether to be flattered or annoyed.

Memories of Irene
Name of Maker: Joan Foster
Memories of Irene - Irene is my friend in Wales. Sharon is my good friend in Victoria who knew I was sending a quilt to Irene, and challenged me to use Irene's colours but in shades and patterns that reminded me of Irene. It was hard to work in someone else's colours, but I loved the result, and made another for me. That way I think of Irene when I look at it, and Irene has to think of me when she looks at hers! Isn't that what friendship is all about?
Latte Quilt
Name of Maker: Faith
Latte Quilt - I created this quilt when I was one of the American testers for the Bernina artista 200 machine. My assignment was to test the Mega Hoop. All blocks were created in the software and then embroidered on the artista 200 with the Mega Hoop. Some of the blocks were rehooped as many as five times. We then turned it into a quilt block of the month embroidery software class. This class is still at www.berninausa.com_on-line classes_Latte Quilt Block of the month.
HIA Quilt
Name of Maker: Faith

Happy Halloween
Name of Maker: Faith
Happy Halloween - My original quilt design, embroidery designs from Boo to You Embroidery Collection. I enlarged the designs too large for the embroidery hoop, split them in the Bernina Embroidery softeware. Some of the blocks were embroidered by re-hooping the fabric and some I embroidered using the Quilter's Double Wide Hoop It All hoop.
