Hunter's Square - Created two 24x24 inch mini quilts for the backs of our recliners. It was fun to make using my Go Die and then machine quilting.

Tropical Flower Garden in Virginia - I began this quilt when I found out my husband was being air-evacuated from Iraq with injuries. There were long stays in hospitals in Portsmouth and San Antonio while foot re-construction, toe amputations, and knee replacements were done. I needed something I could control while my life was spinning out of control. I chose bright batiks to lift my spirits while I waited. I hand stitched the quilt while my husband was being stitched back together. It took two years to complete the quilt...it is taking longer for my husband, but there is power in prayer. Prayer and quilting...what else do you need?

Lemon Pineapple - Took an online class with Nancy Chong to learn Hawaiian applique. It was a wonderful class. I made mine into a very large pillow.

Piecing through the Decades - This is my life quilt in that it took me 26 years to finish.

Bob's Quilt - Changed a little by adding extra rows on top and bottom

Pumpkins and Paws - This quilt embodies two of my favorite things: Bear Claws and Pumpkins. I have always been fascinated by bears, and I love to travel to the north too see the bears (I live in Texas...no bears) in their natural habitat. I don't know why I love pumpkins...maybe because I'm shaped like one! I love the contrast between the black and the lights. My friend Jo Ann quilted this to perfection (she's a real fiber artist). It seems she got into my head and pulled the perfect balance of quilting to enhance this pattern. I feel warm and happy when I look at it.

baby bear - While watching a TV program, I copied the basic quilt block lay out and adapted from there for this baby quilt. I added the paper pieced wonky log cabin to the centers of the blocks to use up scraps.

Bella Camellia - A digital image from my own photograph of camellias in our garden, manipulated in Photoshop and printed on fabric, then painted, stitched and quilted.

California Dreaming: Asilomar - Several of my own photographs were combined in this fantasy version of the beautiful Asilomar Conference Grounds and State Beach in Pacific Grove, California. The quilt a combination of piecing, paint and fused raw appliqué with some digital imagery and machine embroidery.

Alegre 2013 - Quilt came out of a class with Katie Pasquini-Masopust, "From Watercolor to Quilt" at the 2013 Alegre Retreat.

My Sedona Star - This is the quilt from The Quilt Show's Block of the Month for 2012, "Sedona Star" designed by Sarah Vedeler. This quilt achieved a 3rd place ribbon at the 2014 AQS show in Phoenix, AZ.
