PSST! (Psychedelic Sea Star Treasure)
Name of Maker: tamtam
PSST! (Psychedelic Sea Star Treasure) - I re-drafted the Sea Urchins pattern to make it larger (silly me, it would have been much faster to make it the size listed on the pattern, but I HAD to have it bigger...). Some fabrics were over-dyed to make them darker. The stars are all paper pieced, then set together in layers. It was quite a challenge, but I love a challenge! It was shown at the 2012 Shipshewana Quilt Festival and juried into the 2012 AQS Grand Rapids show.
Sheila's Feathered Star

Abstract Landscape
Name of Maker: Photostitch
Abstract Landscape - I bought Gloria Loughman's book Quilted Symphony to learn her process and techniques. Learned applique, curved piecing and foundation techniques. I made a few changes to the pattern by adding windows and doors to the buildings and added hand stitching and decorative stitches from my sewing machine. It was a joy to follow her process.
