I re-drafted the Sea Urchins pattern to make it larger (silly me, it would have been much faster to make it the size listed on the pattern, but I HAD to have it bigger...). Some fabrics were over-dyed to make them darker. The stars are all paper pieced, then set together in layers. It was quite a challenge, but I love a challenge! It was shown at the 2012 Shipshewana Quilt Festival and juried into the 2012 AQS Grand Rapids show. |
