Design Source - Description | I designed this quilt to enter in Swarovski's First Art Quilt contest in 2012. It is based on a song by Van Morrison titled, "Philosopher's Stone." The dark crystals represent life experiences (lead), and the light color crystals represent the songs (gold) he creates from his experiences. The piano becomes the philosopher's stone through which he turns lead into gold. The quilt was one of the 10 finalists in the contest. |
