Interlaced Borders
Name of Maker: Linda Schiffer
Interlaced Borders - This is another quilt I designed for a block of the month at my shop, Seminole Sampler, in Catonsville, MD. This one is twelve different foundation pieced borders and one (outer) appliqued border. I loved the bright colors on black.
LInda Schiffer
Name of Maker: Linda Schiffer
LInda Schiffer - This is an original design -- a block I made for a friend's 50th birthday quilt (made by a sewing group we both belong to). I love turnips (still fresh from the garden soil is best!) so when I was told the theme for her quilt was fresh fruits or vegetables, this was a natural. :)

Maya's baby quilt
Name of Maker: Amouring
Maya's baby quilt - I made this for a friend's granddaughter. The embroidery is fuzzy and it uses minke fabric.
Clockwork Nebari
Name of Maker: Susan Krueger
Clockwork Nebari - One of the most frustrating quilts I have made to date. And definately one of my favorites - now that is is finished. I look at it hanging on my wall, and I can't believe I made it.
Les Fleurs
Name of Maker: Susan Krueger
Les Fleurs - Even though I don't generally do traditional or what I call Fru Fru quilts, I saw this quilt in QNM magazine and it just spoke to me. The quilt published in the magazine did not have the scalloped borders. The ladies at the About.com quilting forum told me it had to have scalloped borders and I took their very correct advice.
Pulsar1
Name of Maker: Susan Krueger
Pulsar1 - Mariner's Compass designs has to be my favorite of all tradtional quilt patterns. I've done quite a few over the course of my quilting life. This pattern designed by Judy Mathieson caught my eye immediately.
Christmas Windows
Name of Maker: Desiree
Christmas Windows - I offer patterns for sale to quilt shops. This Christmas quilt is a wonderful feastive addition for your holiday season. There are three different groups of Snowmen in different holiday scenes. The addition of a tree, lights and a candy cane bring the whole quilt together.
Home for the Holiday's
Name of Maker: Desiree
Home for the Holiday's - I offer patterns for sale to quilt shops. This is a bird lovers favorite holiday quilt. There are 5 birdhouse blocks on point. Four of them circling the birds on a wire. Each house is differently decorated for Christmas and the birds are wearing scarfs and hats. A cute wall hanging for the holidays. Could easily make into a lap quilt by adding borders.
Crepe Paper Poppies
Name of Maker: Desiree
Crepe Paper Poppies - This is another one of my art quilts. I am an avid gardner and love growing flowers. In the spring the Iceland Poppies are in full bloom and cover my side yard with their wonderful warm colors. I was sitting out there and painting them when I decided that they would be my next quilt. The neighbors would always comment on how they didn't look real, but looked as if they were made from crepe paper.
Double Wedding Ring
Name of Maker: Denise Gies and unknown quilter from the 30's
Double Wedding Ring - Antique pieces purchased at a car swap meet in the 1980's. Not complete. These pieces were very inconsistent in size and even shape. Not enough lavender fabric to complete. (it was originally set with lavendar background) After taking it halfway apart, I redrafted the melon shapes, used reproduction pieces to add the end pieces and then used the original lavender as one of the post colors and added the complimentary yellow posts. entirely hand pieced and quilted.
gentleman's fancy
Name of Maker: Denise Gies
gentleman's fancy - During an unusual snow storm that closed down schools for 3 days, I cut the fabrics for this quilt entirely out of my stash! What a great feeling it was to create something from what I already had. (Didn't even make a dent in my stash) My husband is napping under this quilt right now... it's his favorite. Backed with flannel.
Bear Paw
Name of Maker: Denise Gies
Bear Paw - Fussy cut te Moda fabric to make this bear paw quilt for our family room. I love scrappy quilts, so used a variety of prints to complete the top. Back is flannel.
